Sorry for the rough showing. My partner and I are both experiencing some of our worst burnout yet, and I'm trying to reserve what little energy I have to care for myself and support her. I'm glad I at least have something that's hopefully legible enough to get what I was going for.

Thanks to doefr for being a great opponent! Wish I could do your character more justice, because I love her so much!!! Thanks for the quick responses to my questions and being supportive during my struggles. Sorry I wasn't as ready for this tournament as I thought I was.

Wowie Zowieee! The painterly style here is seriously so cool, it paired super well with the frenetic energy of this comic. Mega adored how you introduced Ancelin and her dynamic with Moth, I found it super compelling and it drew me in immediately. LOVED The way you've played around with panel designs throughout. And Moth's expressions--they are ON POINT! Awesome transformation scene at the end. I particularly enjoyed the color palette shift from warm to cool as the comic progressed. Really looking forward to what comes next!

Even though the pages were drafts, the direction of the plot is pretty clear and the events flow smoothly despite it. I especially loved the dialogue between Ancelin and Moth; it was super engaging and expressive. Considering the time constraints and the situation with burnout you were dealing with, it's a commendable effort! Keep rockinn!

Doe: I think my favorite part of this is the way you took advantage of the physical  similarities between  your character and your opponent to build the story. The story is very much specific to these two characters. On a technical level this is also a very well made comic. The denatured tones set the mood for this comic incredibly well. You really came.out swinging, in writing, in drawing, and especially  in damage dealt to Ancelin.

Rose: ignoring the elephant in the room here, the idea was solid and script was well written. I still love that we were both all in on monsters that turn other people into monsters. Even unfinished the chain of events is clear and reading and understanding is not heavily hindered. I'm of the mindset  that if a comic can't be finished, then the most important thing is that it's at least legible, and this one is. You've done a lot with a little here and that's a feat unto itself.

Doe: I love this painted art style and the way you compose your panel layout! The transformation was disturbing, and Holy SMOKE what a scar!! You made them both BEAUTIFULLY grotesque, I love it! Excellent work!!

Rose: Sorry you couldn't finish! I understand burnout. Some part were hard to follow but your sketches also had some livliness in the expressions and creature designs! Though the scars were a tad hard to discern

I was in Doe's DMs saying this but I am OBSESSED with the monster form you gave Ancelin!!! Your whole comic was so good; I think monster media is the ideal vessel for expressing the extremity of how our fucked up inner worlds can affect the world around us. Love the literalization of Moth seeing Ancelin as a monster in her mind and making her a monster in real life. I hope Maria is okay 🥺

Dofer: this was awesome! Respect on finishing a colored comic in 2 weeks, crazy feat, also Ancelin's transformation was scary and cool!

Rose: I would have loved to see this comic finished! Lots of potential here! You did an awesome job making it readable.

Rose: Condolences for not getting out what you wanted. It would have been pretty cool to have seen what your final product would have been because you set a good standard for yourself in monster design with Metonymy.

Doe: Dawg, this was a real cool comic and you're being praised by everyone including me. I loved the more surreal and detached from reality nature of the monster transformations.

Doe: I loved your whole story, Moth's paranoia getting the better of her in a very psychological thriller, those sick monster designs, it was all excellent.

Rose: I'm sorry you couldn't make something more finished. Hopefully things get better for you soon.
