Rolf, I thought it was funny that you talked about doing a pointless fighting comic for like a week, and this comic only really has like one page of it with a lot of build up.

Yeah, that's rectified in the next one.

I liked them both minus Charmy's weak ending.  Rolf, I thought it was funny that you talked about doing a pointless fighting comic for like a week, and this comic only really has like one page of it with a lot of build up.

I also think everyone saying Titan is Charmy's usual is funny.

Rofl-I was glad to see that you managed to keep things consistent with this battle, which is a problem you've had a lot in the past. I didn't mind all the text but people get on me about my wordiness too so yeah um soul sistas rofl. I actually feel like this could have been really sweet in black and white. While the coloring was nice, it didn't really add as much to the atmosphere and you could have done some pretty nice things in black and white.

ME Charm-I was very happy to see you do something drastically different with your inking, this had a lot more life to it than your usual stuff. I do hope that you try another battle in this style sometime because it looked great. Perhaps put some of those blacks into the bg too to really push the atmosphere? Story wise I went back and forth with understanding what was going on because the pacing felt a little weird, but I understood the gist of what was going on fortunately. The ending made me laugh and it would be pretty neat if some people go along with the destroyed Void thing. (post apocalyptic stuff is rarely a bad idea)

And yeah, my butt is tired so hopefully everything I wrote made sense. (I feel the need to point this out because I keep rereading crits I wrote later when I'm more awake and I'm like wtf)

rofl, your art gets better & better but story wise it didn't seem to work for me as well as your others. maybe it was from not having much knowledge of these two characters before hand, but it just felt a little flat to me. not as fun as your others. like i said thought, that might just be me.

charm, i liked the art a lot. sorry to say, i'm only really familiar with the titan battles for the most part so it was good to see the varying linewidths & stuff here. like it was said earlier, sometimes it wasn't 100% clear immediately, so it took me out of the pacing in a few spots trying to place things. that paired with the time skipping made me have to scan through slower to follow what was happening.

Roflqu - This one made me smile. It's obvious you worked very hard on this one, and you did a fine job keeping the quality at an equal level with each page. ( eh, save for the last one but it's forgivable. ) You're playing with angles and interiors better, I liked page 2's establishing shot of Andre walking inside.  Tighten up your backgrounds and give them a little more texture too if you can next time. You're going in a good direction with them so keep trying different tech's to make them more detailed. Your fight sequence could've used some exaggeration points to make it more dynamic. Like with the head butt. Hein looked like he was just pressing up against his forehead as opposed to skull cracking him. Don't be afraid to use more speedlines for emphasis.

Charm -  My eyes probably didn't register this well but...where and how did Andre get scarred after the whole nuclear explosion? Besides that slight bit of confusion I enjoyed the quality of the comic. The inking is very tight, anatomy and details were well executed. Hahaha the whole 'everything is canon' made me chuckle a little. I thought it was kind of a tease/joke but that would be interesting if you or other artist's use this as an inspiration for a seperate story arch.

Great job fellas.

So, how much of Void is a nuclear wasteland now?

As much as anyone chooses to. This is only as canon as the artist makes it. It doesn't even need to have happened if you so choose to ignore it.

Rofl--An interesting story and set up.  Definitely don't need the narration after page 2, though.  The action could be better paced, probably take up less panels than you drew...and the ending felt too rushed...guessing it was because you ran out of time.
Like I said though, the story you had going was pretty interesting, and actually, some nice art, too with nice pages and pacing, just up to that fight page.
Backgrounds didn't bug me so much, but apparently others?  Possible reference for future run-down asylums:  the flashback in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker

M.E.--Some really nice action and art here, intriguing story, too.  I just think it should've been told straightforward.  You didn't need to jump around, especially when ya gave away the ending early.
So, how much of Void is a nuclear wasteland now?

I love both you you all's emotive approach to the scenario and I think both characters are dope (Andre has that vintage black super vigilante look and Heim that "I,Robot" on Genocide mode deal).

I think my only bad thing is Rof's quick wrap up to the ending.I can only assume it was due to a time restraint. but other than I enjoyed both....but yet I don't expect anything less from these two.

MORE!

For both of you two I wasn't expecting anything epic but this turned out to be a very surprising if not intriguing read..

Rofl: I think your BGs overall need a few more details.  I enjoy the way you handle them and even the sparseness of some of the line work within them, but to me they were a bit barren.  You can show sparse but still have details additional, such as trash cans, detritus, pealing walls, bricks, cracks, etc.  You had some of this going on but not enough to make your environments feel real.  I enjoyed the pacing of the story although the ending felt a bit rushed into...the lead in was nice albeit the narration wasn't necessary SHOW DONT TELL...which you did perfectly then you through some narration on top of it and it make it kinda hokey...I actually chuckled when I read it. Anywho the fight page was cluttered and the panels felt decorative instead of controlling the flow of the fight...Look up "WE3" and see how Frank Quitely uses action amongst 20-30 panel pages...or Chris Ware shows moment to moment action with 100+ panel pages!!!  Overall I was pleased with reading this and I look forward to seeing more from you.

Charm: Despite so of the images being a bit hard to make out I really enjoyed this one.  the action was well paced the art was good and you have an extremely distinct style. I thought the time stamps were a bit gimmicky and I felt there could have been a more intelligent choice in showing time differences. And I have to agree with PhilipC that sticking the ending in the middle took all the steam out of the ending for me....the action was good and well choreagraphed...meh no more gripes my vote went to you because I felt you had a stronger ending over all...

good job both of you

Rofl: Man, I think this was great, I love a nice slow build up, and this was some of your best artwork.  I'm digging your new character, and I can't wait to see how you handle his scars.... is being blow up a scar?

Charm:  Oh no! Void is exploded!! Now Nova will never tap that Fabulous ass again!! ; 3; watch your back, Charm, I won't let you get away with ruining my romantic/disturbing story line that easily!! >:U

I really loved your art in this one, you should do this more often.  And I LOVED that "everything is canon" line at the end, ahaha, but mostly because it reminded me of a joke fanart I made a few weeks ago regarding my last battle.

Keep up the gooood work boys!!

Great work on both sides
RoflQu- it might have jus been my computer but your pages had a extremely long load time i read it once but it was really hard to get in to. The story has a whole was pretty good if not a little direct but the art was really nice and i like your control of the light as Andre moved thru the aslym. Tho the fight scene was a little lacking i personally try to show more of the character in those kinds of panels not just heads and hands but other than that nice piece

M.E.-  Thank you. This was an amzing read fighting on nuclear war heads i loved it, and you had me at the ending Hein looked awesome, tho if i can remember he seems to be doin pretty much the same thing in most his comics i dont kno if you have any changes in mind other then his look but it would be nice to see him doin something other that whoopin his opponent but other than that keep up the good work

Not bad you two, but I kinda met these comics with a resounding "Eh..."

Rofl: Props for coloring this considering who you're up against, but the backgrounds are rather dull and empty on your part, the story I did like, but it was a bit dry for my tastes. Maybe a bit more buildup to show how Hein was considered a monster to those around him, just a bit of extra story to really hook the readers. Overall though this was pretty good.

M.E.Charm: In a way I like this comic, in a way I don't. I'm not trying to be biased here but so far what I like is that so far this is your best non-colored comic to date. It's the story that just doesn't sit to well with me. The whole time element for this story was pretty cleaver, but you kept on moving from the present to the past in the most awkward times, page 3 and 4 is the best example of this since you go from present to future shot of nukes closing in on void city, and that also kinda kills the story for me in the end. If you're gonna draw your reader in, you can't just say  in the middle of the story "Oh, by the way, Hein wins, everything is fucked, it's all canon. :D" That killed the story for me and it was pointless to keep on reading at that point since I knew everything ends up getting fucked over and the surprise ending isn't so surprising. (BTW: I'm not including this in my future comics so your statement of it being canon is now a lie ;3)

The best way to do that sort of thing is to make the reader believe that the protagonist has a chance of stopping the inevitable, and not showing that he's gonna lose at all until the very end when things turn bad and everything is fucked. But anyway, the art is good, the story... not so much. My vote does go to you however.
