Shen- Really good to see Key starting to hit his stride. Now go out there and traumatize him
OtakuTaylor- This is really high quality especially for a 1 day. Every part of this comic looks great.

SHEN I loved finally getting mermaid lore from your mermaid world in this way! ;-; just makes me want more! like, is it true? MONSTERS? what kind? and, surely someone can teach him how to fuck without getting anyone pregnant.
Otaku: is now a good time to admit i've been giving out lower scores to comics that have too many word balloons? you have spared me the guilt of dealing with this personality flaw of mine and therefore you get a perfect 10/10 for entertainment

Shen- I was enjoying this, to begin with, the dynamic between Precious and Key was as amusing as I'd expected...but then you hit me with that final page and the entertainment spiked even further. Great page composition and a fantastic reveal.
Taylor- A very different approach, but I enjoyed this simple adventure to the depths of the ocean. I can tell you focused more on the artwork over the plot, which I think is a valid approach for a 24-hour battle- it honestly paid off. This is a gorgeous looking page.

Thanks guys! and I get what you mean about the gutters now Arts. heh. As I was drawing it, it felt like the gutters some scrolling comics have are WAY to large with just blank space but now that it's been a few days rereading my own comic that really comes across as missing a break. Like I was drawing with paneling in mind, then left it out. heh.

Since this battle was only 24 hours long, I won't harp on details like backgrounds and such. You both produced very strong quality linework for a 24hr run. I also enjoyed how you used the infinite canvas to explore movement through water. I appreciate that Shen did it as a way to not only explore movement but also the background of her character Key. For otakutaylor, I appreciated the underwater action scene. Similar format but different approaches. That was cool. My only issue with Shen's comic is I wish you had stuck to one format instead of both pages being so different.

Both of these are amazing 24 hour comics and great job to both of you for such polish in such a short time.
Shen: I enjoy your inks but the story is what really makes this great. learning about his backstory and how it's effecting his current interactions is really awesome.
Taylor: This is such a clean comic. It's also cool to see you doing a webscroll style comic but it's hard style to adapt to format wise. The main thing to keep in mind is you want way more gutter space inbetween panels especially without borders, on my first read I didn't even notice the whole small part of previous struggling against the shark, each one of those should have had some more space and there should have been more negative space between the panels. It's also easy to miss the panel of them swimming down, all those are two small and with so much else going on easy to miss. Put at least a couple hundred pixels between panels, this is a good amount of breathing room for doing a webscroll style. Also you will be increasing the canvas size to add enough negative space for gutters. The small panel of them diving down should have had a lot more negative space above and below it to help set the scene more. Generally, don't put two different panels right next to each other without vertical gutter space. In webscroll format they will read as the same moment, which makes stuff like the small one of them diving down confusing. So unless two things are happening at the same time give them some vertical gutter space. Both Pyras and Shen have great examples of webscroll style comics. This format is tricky but i would like to see you do it again in future comics.

Shen's heard it a ton already but THANK YOU SHEN! You absolutely nailed Precious~
Cy- Thank you~ There was going to be an extra epilogue panel with talking to explain the setup more originally, but it got cut for time, sorry!

Shen - Enjoyed this! A great little story and way to establish more about Key I really dig how you drew and characterised Precious too, although sometimes your anatomy got really lax with her. On page 2, her hand was often as long as her entire forearm, so watch out with the proportions.
Otakutaylor - Damn, the art here was so polished for just a day’s battle! Kudos! That opening shot is especially lovely, way to flex your anatomy and perspective skills. I’m not sure if you didn’t have time to add the dialogue, because for me this didn’t work as a silent comic. I sorta got the gist of what had happened, but wasn’t sure why it happened :/
