My idea here was to show many short gag comics featuring Mob interacting with each character that entered the tournament. Hope everyone enjoy the comedy and good times.

Every joke here is in good heart, don't take any of these seriously.

This entry is basically a big love letter to Archie comics, my very first exposure to the medium when I was a kid. I was OBSESSED. Delving back into the old issues I used to own was so nostalgic and comforting. EVERY Comfy Royale participant has a cameo in this! If you cant find your character just ping me! Hope everyone enjoys the silliness and cheesiness (haha, get it)!

snager- i LOVED the differences in the bonsais and the whole color palette, this was one of the most relaxing entries for me to read :>

Rockman- I love the gag premise and a lot did make me chortle. my favorite was the final image tho >:3

Raltz- haha I loved the part where she kicked the 'intruder' into the next page after they played and chilled. Very funny.

Juxta- this was so high quality, and I loved all the gags and bits. My favorite was the huge legal disclaimer on page 3

Prosiac- your action was clear and easy to follow! Even tho this one was more simple, I really liked the visuals. Of course spawn point would relax by dreaming about alien invaders haha.

Bangarang- very fun aquarium date! I loved the colors in the deep ocean part.

Cab- loved this whole podcast segment and the final punchline was great haha

Mr Kent- I really like your approach to single color in this.

Snagger- The visuals here were interesting and unique, I love that rich golden background. Also really happy to see your Bonsai hobby sneaking its way into a comic. Super comfy.

Rockman- I've always had a soft spot for 4-koma manga, reading a void one gave me so much joy. These were very fun, I cracked up multiple times. Amazing entry~

Raltz- Shirlon is such a violent menace and I love it. There's something really cute and endearing about your art style, I'm really excited to see how you develop on the site! There's some room for improvement in the presentation/ the backgrounds look a bit thrown together compared to the rest of your art (pg 3/4) and would have benefited from being neatened up a little.
Oh, I also second Putrid's comments about spooky indie games.

Juxta- Wow what a comic, the approach you took was really fantastic. I love that you paid homage to a classic slice-of-life comic series, every cameo/gag/page spread feels thoughtful and fun, and the writing is just as charming as the artwork. Brilliant job Juxta!! Very comfy.

PROSAIC- this was a cute comic with nice clear line art, I found it funny that Spawn Point dreams of shooting UFOs out of the sky, I fully believe this is also how he spends his comfy lazy Sundays. I look forward to seeing how your comic-making skills develop! I think an area you'd benefit from studying is panelling/ layout (just being mindful of this when you read comics is enough- get a sense of what can be achieved)  the one-panel-per-page approach can only take you so far!

Bangarang- I was grinning so much as I read this comic, it was super cute. It made me want to go on an Aquarian date!  Lily x Holden are an extremely endearing couple they have a nice back and forth and look very cute together, particularly in this comic, I loved all the attention to detail with their clothing. This was peak comfy!

Cab- really nice art! Your lines looked extra polished in this I can really tell you put a lot of TLC into the expressions and the backgrounds. I'd honestly love to see you do more short-form comics because your art really shines here. Great background details, nice writing, it has the energy of a light-hearted teen show, which very much suits your protag.

Kent- This comic made me feel so nostalgic for the first time I joined void, I've missed your art so much! It's bursting with personality, your writing is snappy and funny as always. This was such a solid entry.

Man, voting on this was really though!

SNAGER- Like everyone else mentioned, seeing traditional art like that is pretty neat. I liked the colors you used, and the fact that it was their Diov counterparts was pretty unique

ROCKMAN- Holy shit, this was an absolute BLAST TO READ!! I've been finding myself constantly re-reading this! You clearly paid a lot of attention to everyone's character to write the best gags for everyone! Honestly, it's very neat to see sm effort in getting the hang of other's characters so perfectly like this! I legitimately can't pick a favorite strip! The fact that you included every contestant is incredibly impressive! AND ALSO!! Thank you sm for the Madd cameo!!

RALTZ- The page thumbnails of Sirloin like that little salt mascot was such a cute idea, I loved it!! Your comic feels almost dream-like! The cute style mixed with the pixelated font made me think of those spooky indie videogames like Yumme Nikki. Great entry!  And thank you for including Madd at the end!!

JUXTA- My God, the quality in this one is absolutley INSANE!! You tackled the vintage comic style down to a T! The very personalized gags and interactions between Clever and the other characters is inredibly sweet and funny! Clever is such an endearing character, and I'm always incredibly delighted to see him pop up every time! I'm floored by the little copyright disclaimer in page 3- I dunno what your work process is, or what goes into your head but I want to see a lot more of it!!

PROSAIC- Very clean inking and nice use of black and white only! It's endearing how Spawn Point saw themselves super scary in their dream versus then dozing off

BANGARANG- Your art style is very cute, and the color choices are very beautiful! The pages might be a little too wide to read comfortably, but other than that- seeing those two have a nice, normal date was comfy and sweet! Their outfits were neat! your scenes with blacklight are always a...highlight (no pun intended or maybe?)

CAB- I don't want to parrot what the other said, but the details in the background says a lot about Eugene! Veruca should charge him for every time he says 'babe' lol! As usual, very clean and crisp inks- expressions are pretty neat! And if that 'Hola Chica' is a 'hola primos' reference I will find you  /j

MR KENT- Beautiful art! I liked pink in it a lot! The dialogue and the concept in general is very cute. I can't help but feel that it seems incomplete, though. The ending seems too abrupt. Other than that, it's very enjoyable!

Snager- you have the most beautiful traditional art. Very unique style. Those plant drawings remind me of botanical illustration out of a textbook. very nice!

Therockman- You did your research! How you came up with such appropriate gags for everybody is mindblowing. Had me laughing!

Energy - Don’t worry about it, I almost defaulted myself. Things happen. You can always submit a BB of what you intended.

Raltz- You put your own brand of comfy in comfy royale, thats awesome!  Very funny comic.

Juxta - This is so professional looking, you really did a super great job on this! It is obvious that you put a lot of love and work into this comic. How do you do these things in just 2 weeks?!

Prosaic- You have nice inks going on and your character design is interesting.  Enjoyed reading it!

Bangarang- Full color! These always blow my mind, especially on tight deadlines. I liked how you illustrated the jellyfish. Very nice to look at!

Cab-  Very funny comic!  I always love the details in the backgrounds, they are the butter to the bread. Very fun read!

Mister Kent - This is like the most direct translation of the comfy in comfy royale. Nice art!

Snagger- I believebi mentioned back during Diov how much I like the puzzle aspect of these Cedric comics and the thought that has to go into making a decent puzzle in a comic format. Like Rose, I was initially skeptical of it's effectiveness, relying on personal knowledge of a cast that we don't necessarily have knowledge of, yet, but I did manage to figure out 3 of them, and was kinda annoyed at myself for not getting a 4th which was well.considered for the character. I'll echo what others have said, the watercolor here is well executed and I think my favorite  detail is the last panel with everyone  doing the 1800's "we have to sit here for 10 minutes to let the picture expose" camera face when for the rest of the comic the cast is rather animate.

Rockman: you've gotten a lot of praise for this and it's honestly well earned. this was hilarious and so fun to read. Not gonna say which one, but one of these pages I got to the punch line and I HAD to share it with someone  else, it nearly killed me.

Raltz: maybe I'm in the minority but this one was lost on me. I read through it 3 times and it really  left me more confused than anything

Juxta: another one that deserves every bit of praise it got. The style emulation is spot on, and everything  here is just perfect given the mission statement.  This really  took full advantage of the lax ruleset and we're  all the better off for it.

Prosaic: again, gonna echo someother commenters sentiments. One of the hardest parts is stepping up to the plate, it can be hard to make something to show in front of others. You'll  get the hang of it, I promise.

Bang: a real sugar cube of a comic. Short and sweet, which is all it needs to be. Also the entire time I was thinking back to my last visit to the aquarium  a few months the back. Took a short vid of the cuttlefish that I might post to the discord. Anyways  the colors here really stood out, this was real nice to look at.

Cab: it always impresses me how much you can get done in so little time with a style as detailed as yours. also Idk, Eugene is kinda spitting facts here.

Kent: honestly I'd love to see more of Rayguns stuck-at-home antics. Preferably with the pillow remaining stuck to his head the whole time.

Snagger - I love your traditional work so so much! The colors and your free style of drawing is something I always enjoy.
I got 3 of the 6 Bonsais right! It was cool for you sticking with the puzzle aspect of the comics featuring Cedric

Raltz - Sirlion is such a fun and chaotic character and seeing it interacting with Mob was super fun! The panel at the end of Madd kissing good nigh a dead Mob got me laughing hard!

Juxta - Impressive work! I enjoyed a lot the cameos of everyone, I was surprised how you managed to get everyone in! The puzzles and ads were such a nice detail! I recommend printing this, this needs a physical edition!

Prosaic - Solid work man, comics are hard! But I'm glad you are still investing the time and effort to make and take something out there! You got the hard part already beaten! Continue doing it!

Bangarang - This was wholesome, I love aquariums so I enjoyed Lily and Holden's story a lot! Great coloring and interactions between the two!

Cab - Solid backgrounds and artline Cab! Gotta agree with Eugene in this one, birds are not real! They are cameras from the government to spy on us! *puts tinfoil hat*

Mister Kent - Liked the red color you used for the comic and the relaxing plot, I need to learn to un-boring relax from him! Hahaha

Short crits because there are a lot of comics and I'm out of practice but—!
snager: ShowHide
My goodness that background foliage is delicious!!! The art style is very fun and fits this AU so nicely. I also got a kick out of being asked to match plants with characters from an AU I have zero experience with XD. I'm not sure if I was supposed to be able to guess them based on their normal VOIDsonas or if the joke was that no one would guess correctly, and I think it's fun either way but I'm hoping the joke was intentional and not just my absolute ignorance XD. I don't really have anything in particular to tell you to work on, although I will say I struggled a bit with keeping track of the characters between my lack of familiarity and my tendency to struggle tracking a lot of visual stimuli at once. Honestly on me more than the artist, I'm sure. I thought this was a really cute comic and fit the vibe of the event perfectly!

rockman: ShowHide
THESE WERE SO FUNNY!!! You had me giggling the whole time! I think the Cairo one was my favorite, but the Morgan Maruyama one also killed me XD. Personally not sure how I feel about the Ohm one as a trans woman, but I'm sure you didn't intend it that way. Regardless, these were all incredibly fun and I need to read more Mob comics!!!

Energy: sorry your computer died on you ๐Ÿ˜ญ hope you can get it fixed soon!
raltz: ShowHide
This was very cute and comfy! I'm not sure I got all the jokes, but I liked the vibe โ˜บ๏ธ

juxta: ShowHide
"YUM!?" OMG this comic is spectacular ๐Ÿ’– definitely cozy and gave me so much nostalgia and lots of giggles!

prosaic: ShowHide
Short and sweet! I noticed you said it's hard for you to make comics, and I feel that ๐Ÿ˜” it'll get easier with practice, and I highly recommend taking inspiration from other artists on VOID as well as comics outside of VOID! There are so many fun things you can do with comics, and I'm sure if you play around with them you'll find ways of working that fit your style!

bangarang: ShowHide
SO FUCKING CUTE!!! I love Lily and Holden together, and I love your art style so much! The black light scene looked so nice! This made me want to go to an aquarium โ˜บ๏ธ

Poor Veruca; girl needs a new job ๐Ÿ˜‚ I feel so bad for her feeling obligated to subject herself to this. Hope she can get outta there someday ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

kent: ShowHide
Seems like you had more planned and I'm sad that the comic ended so abruptly because it was truly speaking to my soul ๐Ÿ˜” Hope Ray succeeds on his mission to find non-boring ways to relax so he can recover! Also I love your tasty pink coloring—right up my alley!
