total agreement with everything Toast said.......you showed great ability but you tried to do too much with the little time afforded you.....my suggestion would be the same......work with a smaller amount of pages and put that talent into them....then they\'ll really shine....more isn\'t better

I\'m really sorry arcane and i\'m sorry everyone. i let all of you down including myself. you probably think im a big lazy jerk. well at least you win and go on to round 2, so congradulations. again i\'m really sorry, procratination got the best of me.

Arcane, I know it\'s disheartening when your opponent defaults, but this is your first battle so use it as a learning experience. Most challenges are made for 4 weeks, allowing the artists to procrastinate, work or school disruptions, and still have enough time to put in every detail they want. Speed Death matches don\'t afford you that luxury. You\'ve made it to Round 2, and hopefully you\'ll be able to finish less pages but have them be complete overall.
If you don\'t get enough comments, request a few people give you crits on this. You\'ve got an awesome ability already, I love the pages that were complete, the story was intriguing, the only problem I see was trying to do too much in the time given. I want to see an even better round two from you.
good luck

too bad you didn\'t finish because you were seriously rocking that arcane. I hope you finish your comic in the next round. I\'m looking forward to more from you.

I\'ll post these pages up in the forums to get crits like you suggested, Toast. I hope people give them a good ripping.
Brian! -- it was sure disappointing. I wanted to see your take on Red Knight but I do know how difficult it was to battle the desire to procrastinate while working on these pages so i don\'t hate you or dislike you or anything, okay? Hopefully, we can have a real battle after SDT.
