alberto311 & angieness :
My next fight will be pretty long too, so I try to keep in mind to make background in case I won\'t have time in durring christmas to color it :P
I want to work on character\'s personality and making them more 3D, and it just takes more space - I just hope that quality won\'t lose on this :)

good job guy\'s. Everything\'s been said. Wolcik hats off for putting out so many pages. More background would add more to your work. Peace

Graph-Aw man, I was really looking forward to this dude :( There\'s not much I can really say that hasn\'t already been covered. Since time management was an issue, one thing that helps me is to set up a strict schedule. Devote a week to pencilling, 1.5 to inking, 1.5 to coloring (obviously your schedule would be different as you don\'t normally color your stuff) and stick to it.

Wolcik-Again I don\'t think there\'s much I can cover that hasn\'t already been said haha This battle was a pretty big step up for you which impressed me. If you want to stack your pages, do it vertically instead of horizontally, it makes it much easier to read. Work on keeping backgrounds throughout most of the battle, it seemed like they sort of disappeared after the first few pages. You have good ideas, I just want to see more time spent on executing them.

Graphyte Ronin :
I love your part, I understand that you didn\'t use much time, but I find this story awsome XD girl hostage, and amazing vision (remind me of 300) made my day :)

Monday :
So, are those good in writer\'s perspective?
I noticed that all panels were too similar too late. Wei told me to merge pages in order to get them under 10, and I thought that putting them next to each other would make them more real comics like, but I could ruin look and story (while you probably could see half of next page).
I admit that I didn\'t use any references for guns (maybe a litte for shotgun from romero\'s previous comicses).

Phillip C  :
The scan thing was that there were much extra pixels from dirty scanner or paper, and I don\'t know anything better than erasing with eraser tool - I also used the first scan I\'ve got, and didn\'t try for a better versions...
I think that my perspection and poses have to improve from actual battles (maybe bb too). I know that perspective on last page was off, but I still liked how Romero ended up :) his police uniform has some hard detail here and there XD
I\'m very glad to hear that I could change your mind :) If I won\'t have a battle set up before 6th of devember than won\'t take anything before New year... but I try to make beyond battle instead...

Kotori Ky  :
I know that my last beyond battle was very weak. I hadn\'t strong feelings for it, but I had to finish it in order to battle anyone... From now one I\'ll try to work harder on story (not just pop things out of nowhere), I also noticed that placing boxes with information about time or location might be good, so I try to use them in future (I didn\'t use more than one in this battle because I started doing it too late at night).
Those panels taken over by text are fault of bad planning. When I drew this I didn\'t plan where to put dialoque ballons so I had to stuff them.
I wanted to give someone the text, but the day before putting text I had only half of it, and still half of it changed just before putting it in - because of lack of space.

D6016  :
I have to make a confession. I didn\'t start drwaning anything for the first week, so it was like 2 week battle for me XD but I don\'t think that more time would change much, I rather concentrate on taking lesson from this one and get it on with another one :)

Graph: I have to admit, I was a little disappointed in your showing this time. I was looking forward to Romero\'s stuff and seeing you battle again. I think my biggest complaint, aside from the art not matching up to your previous levels at all, was the complete lack of Romero outside of being another officer. No story input really at all that any other police mook couldn\'t do. And that made me a sad panda. I\'ll forgive a lot of art if the story is engaging. Ah well. Get back into the swing of things and I\'ll look for your next battle. ^^

Wolcik: You know, I wasn\'t really fond of your style or writing before, but I\'ll agree... you\'re starting to catch my attention and make me want to read. Like has been said, you\'re very stiff with poses and anatomy is off here and there... but you\'re improving and it\'s noticeable. And that\'s always a big plus for me. I think the only thing I\'ll poke on you is the way some panels are taken over by the text, there\'s more text bubble than panel, I think. And it clutters/hurts the art at times. Also, have someone help read over your dialog before turning it in... your writing needs a bit of help with grammar still. But it is also improving compared to previous ones, I think.

Look forward to both of your future battles!

Graph, you\'re just a bit rusty dude, you need to battle again really soon.

Graph: The story was fine, but the angles kinda made it a tad boring, you gotta spice stuff up in your next fight. Speaking of which, try to start early when fighting dude, that way you won\'t panic at the last minute and rush through pages. I look forward to what you have for us next time.

Wolcik: I don\'t see what you\'re talking about with the scans, they look clean for the most part, if anything scan inked pages on the B&W setting at 300dpi, it gets every single bit of ink on the page you drew. Anywho, this was a nice battle, the poses and perspective kinda seemed a bit funky (Last page\'s floor made it look like Romero and Worltex would of just fell down off of what they were standing on), but other than that you had some pretty tight stuff for us with this fight. I wasn\'t a fan of the character at first, but I\'m starting to get hooked, get to battling again really soon ya hear?

I\'ll go at these with a writer\'s perspective later but for now I\'m just gonna lay some technical crits on the visual end.

Graphy: where your lines are clean and sterile your tonal/balance suffers for it, you pages are coming out too , adding blocks of shadow would improve your style greatly. From pages 2 -4 a lot of dynamic shadows could be added. Line hatching was good but when you used them but not enough were present. Your layout is fine in fact its the strongest aspect in this piece. Keep it up, hope this warms you up for the big thing.

Wolcik: Strong lines here, frames are not suffering from lack of detail and composition. Though your anatomy and pose work comes off real stiff in some shots involving romero page 5 right being the strongest example here. Panel layout is fine in some pages but with the double page spread, the repetitive 1/6th - 1/9th boxes tends to clutter up the page. though this is a borderline issue and isn\'t the biggest problem.   Study natural poses and work on getting flow in your pencil drafts you\'re usually fine with these up until you touch on guns so study those.

Overall good job from the both of you, we got tastey page counts but i have to head to class.

Don\'t worry about my side, it\'s a poor showing on my part, and the only thing to blame is my massive procrastination this time.

But I\'m sure your side is fantastic.

OK, I uploaded pages (sent them to Wei just in case - hope it wont\' piss him off).

I was so concerned on my work that I wasn\'t thinking too much about Graphyte Ronin \'s version, but I\'ll enjoy it the same :)
I asked Graphyte Ronin to cover some of the story that I wanded to draw myself in case I failed making it to the deadline.

I should get some torturials on scanning cause it made lines looks worse, and without color that means a lot.
I ended up putting text in a hurry on the last day, so there might be errors again, but I hope that I chose right font to make it readable.
I didn\'t shade the cover page, and I regret that very much :(

Anyway, I hope you all dig it :)

I don\'t expect lots of votes so I update my progress on battle in case anybody cares...
7 days left and I have 4 pages left to draw and ink, I work all week so I don\'t know how much more time I\'ll be able to give this fight. I hope I\'ll have pages ready to scan by friday, so I could add text and color the cover page...

commenting own battles is so pittiful :(

I\'m not even half the way there, and I planned this a little long battle... but I do my best to make it in time, and not to disapoint you guys... I wonder if it\'s OK for me to have someone to check my spelling and such before I write it down - and I mean like someone from Void :)

one thing I can say right now about Romero... He\'s HUUUGE XD
