Due to overwork and managing my kickstarter, I'm thoroughly burned out. I'm sorry I wasn't able to bring you all the comic I wanted, but I didn't want to leave you with nothing. Please take this art as a consolation prize. Good luck everyone and congrats on the winner!

this one is kinda patchwork, even for me, but I had a lot I wanted to get down and I got to the most important bits. I just wish I had more time to mess around with all these characters aaaaa

Jelly: I really enjoyed the story and use of all the characters. Your pencils and style is always so energetic. Even though the whole thing couldn't get color, there was still color in places that mattered for the best impact. It was truly a wild ride.

Goldie: Loved all of it! Really enjoyed the phantom take on it. Lots of wonderful dynamic poses and bloody violence! Characters going out heroes. Really enjoyed it!!!

Pizza: I love Rod and I think he was a crowd favorite to use in the rounds. Love the humor, great first page to get hooked into. Very nice toilet humor in the end.

Trm: You didn't get it all inked, but the parts that did get it look awesome! good use of tones and very nice paneling! I really enjoyed the ending. The bit with the 'Kriller' had me chuckling.

The first page IS BEAUUTIFUUL, setting the stage with so much suspense- it instantly hooked me. Your ability to convey a clear and exciting story through even the sketched pages was so impressive. Dialogue was great; Not only engaging but also perfectly captured the essence of each character, making the interactions a joy to follow. I really liked your rendition of Spidella, SO adorable and seamlessly integrated into your unique style. The panels with the gun you drew on page 16 were so great I just have to point them out, I can tell you poured a lot of love into the art in this one. And that final panel is gorgeous, made for a really impactful ending- I'd love to see where Husk goes from here!!

GOLDIE
You've outdone yourself! I might sound like a broken record, but I can't help it. The pacing is impeccable, giving it a cinematic quality that's SUPER compelling. You're fantastic at establishing locations and scenes throughout the story. The chemistry between the characters is delightful; their interactions are fun and natural, genuinely entertaining. The crazy build-up to the conclusion had me on edge, in the best way possible. The fire on page 9 was GREAT and it complemented your line work beautifully, LOVED THE DRAMA. And that ending—absolute perfection! It tied everything together so well and Spidella's personality (and font) are a joy to read.

PIZZA MAN
The first page of your comic instantly got my attention! Brilliant use of the vertical format. THE WRITING WAS HILARIOUS. The jokes are great; and I loved how many you fit into this among the story. They way you integrated Rod with all the others is well done. I'm genuinely impressed by your ability to blend humor with your visuals so seamlessly. Keep em coming :p.

TRM
The level of detail you've put into each panel is a feast for the eyes! It's evident that a ton of meticulous linework went into creating this comic, and it makes every moment spent within its pages incredibly fun and immersive. The charm of Miss Bonzai herself shines through brilliantly, thanks to your finesse and dedication to the character. She's just FABULOUS, great job!!

SirJellyRaptor: Holy shiiiit man! The colored parts are on a professional level, I love the way you do colors, composition and characters expressions!

Goldie: your story got me hooked from start to finish, the art quality was consistent across the comic and and enjoyed a lot the mood you went with.

What a good lineup of comics we got here

TRM: I'll echo what everyone else is saying. This is a nice step up from your previous work. It's good to see you experimenting like this. I will say, writing wise, I like what you were going for but it falls flat right at the end. The kriller punchline would have worked better if it had been foreshadowed better, probably by including the character earlier. Reading through this I thought Mizz Bonsai was the one killing everyone in the background  just because she was the only character left to account for, but that just made me confused because it seemed so out of her character. A twist like that, even as a joke, works better when it's properly built up. All in all, though, this is a solid step in your artistic direction!

Pizza Man: this one got some earnest chuckles outta me. Ypurbwriting delivers, and your drawings are expressive, and that's a powerful combination. I don't have any real cons here. Working in pure black and white like this there's a risk of things beginning to lose contrast and distinct news, which kinda happens here at some points, but that's me reaching, because it definitely didn't hinder my ability to read it or.my enjoyment doing so. Also I didn't expect anyone to actually use Briggs, let alone use him that much, so thank you for that.

Goldie: with a royale like this, it can be challenging to compile all the characters into the story without it feeling contrived or shoehorn, but you've done it here flawlessly. Everyone's role in the story just works and their writing feels natural. Having some extra insight into the behind the scenes of this comic, the quality if the drawing is honestly incredible given how rushed I know some of it was. If I didn't already know, I wouldn't have ever guessed. Im glad you were able to get this done.

Wow, these were really stellar comics overall! Great job people!

SirJellyRaptor: I realy digged how you put in the colors in certain spots to help add emphasis. Even though I feel it might also have been because of lack of time (?), it was a great solution that actually added to the experience!

Goldie: I like how you're able to give your characters really believable personnalities that fit their profile. There were some great moments in this. And I liked how you handled Myrmidon who might have been a hard character to deal with if anybody were simply thinking of going toe to toe with them. I also like that your stories seem to have a classic movie feel to them. Like film-noir and such.

Pizza Man: That first page was SO WELL DONE! I LOVED it! That's a perfect example of how people should be using vertical scroll format for storytelling. That reveal at the bottom of the page dude *chefs kiss*. You've also got some good humor strewn about here and there. I can definitely see improvement art wise as well from the last entry.

TRM: It felt like you had a more solid grasp of the type of feeling you wanted to convey with this comic versus the first entry. The solid blacks really added to the whole detective story line that you went for. Definitely see a big leap in your overall comic making skills with this one.

Kubo - I'm glad that you uploaded the image to the VOID discord, I hope your projects go well!

Jelly - I enjoy your pencils when they're refined, they have a lot of liveliness to them. I also enjoy the bits of color that we see and the expressions of the characters. I'm sorry you weren't able to complete the comic, but I thought your comic was still a fun read!

Goldie - I loved your inks and the story you told, the ending with Spidella saying that the okay is a tragedy is so good! Your comic was a great read, and I loved seeing the various deaths in yours!

Pizza Man - Your use of spot blacks was interesting, and I liked the first page with the extended chitinous pieces creating flow within the comic. It did feel a little empty at times with no backgrounds, but some of the expressions were really cute!

TRM - Also nice use of spot blacks!I hope you keep working on them, this was an interesting change in your comic making!

It feels like you could have maybe had the whole comic intentionally black and white and have strategic coloured pages in it, that would be cool to try.
Quote from: Bobert

That was my intention actually, was a primarily monochromatic comic with color used as an accent. So the colors ypu have here are mostly the few bits I had planned. I almost made the cityscapes on pages 6 and 17 completely greyscale, too, but I wanted the shift from the usual orange glow to the blue glow to emphasize myrmidons takeover. Whether anyone made that connection is anyone's guess, though, so the extra bit of effort.might not have been worth it.

In that case that's cool though! Also in regards to the orange to blue light shift, I think even if it wasn't immediately obvious, that it wasn't pointless/wasted effort!

A lot of bangers here.

TRM: It's a damn shame you couldn't finish up the comic because those spot blacks on the completed pages have a lot of strength and polish. The story was nice and quirky too, although a tad anticlimactic with the punchline haha.

Pizza: Another comedy. Tight, short and digestible. This is like the 2nd time where you had a punchline about baldness lmao.

Goldie: Holy crap that was a good one! So tight and it liked tied up everyone's arcs in a nice bow (if I had more brains today I'd make some gothic lolita jokes but that seems to not be in the cards haha).

Jelly: This was cool to read in spite of the sometimes incomplete pages. It feels like you could have maybe had the whole comic intentionally black and white and have strategic coloured pages in it, that would be cool to try. I like how this story sets up Husks entrance into Void City.
