both parts couldve used more backgroung art, but it was ok for me, nothing exciting though, both needed more storyline, but i did like the western showdown idea from kappa

Rookie, I personally like the one-hit KO, I found it ironically funny.  Your colors were awesome at the beginning.  I wanted more colors throughout.

TheKid, linework is looking better, please be sure to proofread your text and dialogue before you submit your work, avoid blurring, and the man-hunt is SOOOOOO ON.  Can\'t wait to see who the culprit is behind the kidnapping.

Hmmm... I guess I should of commented earlier...

Rookie: Very clean entry, but one thing bothered me through out... the one hit KO. I honestly would like to see more than just a punch to the face. This is a tourney after all, gotta show off you could say! But other than that, you\'ve got the advantage of quality in this battle.

the Kid: Although it\'s not as good looking as Kappa\'s but your comic was a more enjoyable read for me. I\'m agreeing with the use of the Blur tool, and how you should avoid it (try to draw speedlines instead next time. But by far you got my vote in creativity and entertainment.

Kappa, omg..how amazing. Your style is a mix of awsomeness. Those last two panels are fucking AWSOME. Those word boxes TOTALLY own too, mostly cause they\'re like what I toss out. thehehe. I dunno who, but they\'re so hot. Don\'t have much to say cept that your anatomy needs a tit bit of work, but doesn\'t all of ours. ^^

Jesse, nice work. I\'m not to crazy about all the lil \"childish\" expressions constantly through comics, I was hoping I\'d see more serious work from you. Next fight, try to put a bit more contrast in your work and maybe more of a unqiue storyline. (BTW...I thought Kappa only made noises?)

love the wild west take on kappa\'s side of the fight. the actual fighting, however, seemed a little boring with the one-hit KO.

Jessie\'s side was nice, but i think the action blurs need work; they looked a little inconsistent with the rest of the piece.

lol well no one ever said which timeline battles had to be set in.

Not bad guys.  Jessie - you showed more effort, and your lines were fine if a little thick, but I didn\'t feel you gave Kappa much of a chance.  I mean, he\'s a kick ass fighter too, and Jessie just whupped him from start to finish.  Kappa - this looked muy rushed, but your colours on the first page were still slick.  Cowboy theme?  Wierd, but cute.  ^^
