You're absolutely right about that.  In retrospect, I don't know what I thought I was doing.  I really wanted the black background for the portal opening, and especially that final shot, but I just didn't bother to justify it.  Thanks for the helpful crit.

Your inks were absolutely wonderful, and the twist was quite surprising. I would have given you a perfect score, save for two flaws: First, falling back on the old therapist cliches. German accent is fine, but the couch and "tell me about your mother" lessened my excitement. It's such an old trope, I'd rather see it done away with entirely. The second, and more important, issue I had were the final panels. The sudden shift to complete and total darkness confused me at first. I wasn't entirely sure if the doctor was still in the office or what- something to establish where the sudden darkness came from would have helped avoid any such confusion. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to seeing this character fight. Keep up the absolutely stunning work.
