Some recent work of mine.  I was trying to go for the same feel as the full-page newspaper comics that became popular in the 30's

is dr. sinister mr. sinister after 7 years of medical school? just kidding.

nice start with that page. the street looks nice for a first go. the people in it look a little stumpy & stocky. in the future, be mindful of them & how they fit in the scene. think of them as if they were buildings as well, try to block out their heights & size consistently. for instance, in the image you have, the guy reading looks huge in comparison to the two figures crossing the street. even if they're supposed to be kids, they look a little too tiny in comparison. just keep an eye out in the future

This specifically--I'm not sure.  It was mostly a test page that evolved some depth along the way.

Oh, and thanks!

Looking pretty nice so far! I wonder if it may help to bring just a little more hatching into the far away stuff so it really pushes it to the background.
