just here to say that chica is one of my favourite characters on void and the quality of her concept and writing shows itself as early as this prologue ≤3

I made a full crit during approval but just wanted to repeat. you're stuff is professional and when you make a published comic you better let us know so i can buy it because your art is on a professional level and a style all your own.

Ayyyy I can't wait to see what you do with this girl!! I agree with the others that she doesn't quite come off as toon, but I still do appreciate the juxtaposition between her and the human characters!

This is your best intro yet Radji, got nothing more to say about it!
I think an easy fix to help with Chica's tooniness is adding the good ol' pizza cut to the eyeballs, otherwise try what the others below suggest

The creativity, the entertainment, es perfecto. Chef's kiss.
But, I have one single gripe--
If you didn't tell me that Chica was a toon, I would have thought she was a standard anthro character. That would still work within the context of Void's collective lore, which includes animosity to furries, so it's not too bad.
And I can see the contrast between her and everyone else, so that can be a counterpoint to my claim, but
(and I can hear the boos already)
this design screams "Isabelle Joins a Gang."
The influence is there, you've been open about this. However, it leans heavy to the point where, if you were to give me a side by side comparison of these two without their palettes, I would have thought one of two things--
1) This is an Animal Crossing OC
2) This is a re-imagining of Isabelle.
The thing I would consider redesigning with very little impact on the rest of her silhouette would be her eyes. There's something immediately recognizable about the pie-eye shapes toons have, and her eyes currently have more of the simple circle shine. That's what makes her look the most like Isabelle, and if that were changed, I would see less of the parallel.

Everyday I am pleased by the ripples that the Battle Royale has caused. And I am definitely glad you have a solid answer to it all, Radji. I'll echo Heathen's sentiments here that having two styles ; one for your Toon and another for the "grungy" reality will be best suited for how this character operates going forward if only because I would personally find that challenging and fun to attempt.

Love it! The color and quality is top notch, and you cram a lot of interesting story and ideas into a relatively short background introduction! High marks all around!

This is one of the best intros, and one of the best comics, I've seen on Void. I love all the grit and textures and details you've poured into this, and the limited color you've done is wonderful. Your depictions of gore and violence are inspired and inspiring. Really stellar work. My only gripe, which I expressed back when you first showed your initial sketches of Chica, is that she just doesn't read as a toon. She's drawn and detailed in the exact same style as the "real" world and people around her. I still gave this comic 10s, because it's objectively great, but you're not quite achieving what you're trying to do with Chica, visually, and I hope to see you experiment with ways to make her stand apart more going forward.

Looks like things are still hard for furries LOL! Man, you hit my soft spot for Animal Corssing-like characters being put in horrible situations. I'm looking forward to whatever you put this poor puppy through. Nice work!
