Thanks for all the comments. Pizza i relaly enjoy your side of the battle, i felt our comics were similar but yours had more story and better showed the characters. I also love the way you protrayed Catador's attack on page 4. Glad you enjoyed the battle and hope you do more comic stuff when you can.

both stories are very similar, both taking place in the same setting. And both characters takes the other out in similar fashion in their respective version
the key difference is the quality of the battle of wits in both versions

good job you guys. your entries were pretty similar all around.
as for the writing pizza delivered some tension and even a nice balanced wrapup.
artsy i must say i would appreciate if Catador would show some more depth aside from superior fighter in the arena with an ego through the roof. let him struggle!
comics about fighting are nice but can be a bit boring if you go in already knowing who´s the winner in the end.

Great job both of you for illustrating such a good match up! I am not brave enough (yet) to illustrate fight scenes like this so I am impressed.
Arts, I know you've had some bumps along the way as you worked through this comic and kudos for finishing through it despite all the odds. I know you said you're not happy with it but I honestly think you need to pat yourself on the back Get back up and stay stronger my friend!
Pizzaman -I really enjoyed your comic. That crotch shot on the first panel on page 7 had me laughing. XDDDD

This was a really good matchup. Pizzaman's characters and dialogue had a bit more dynamism and humor to them, but I love Arts' ending.
I gave the advantage to Pizzaman because, while both comics featured some great choreography, his had more drama.

Fight scenes are my personal ihell, so I really admire you both for making purely action-based comics. I can tell special attention when into the choreography of both of them, there were plenty of challenging poses here.
*In terms of the action* neither of these comics felt formulaic and dull.
In terms of the story itself, I may have some crits.
Arts- El Catador is clearly a formidable opponent. Throughout this fight he always had the upper hand, even when he was being punched in the fact a witty remake would follow. I think characters like this are in danger of becoming too perfect and badass, and as a result not very compelling.
I'd be interested to see what lurks behind Caradors, confident, suave persona. This is just something to consider in the future.
pizza- I liked the unliving twist with Count Burmeister. The story here was fun and I felt invested in the fight since I wasn't sure who would come out on top.
I think this comic would've benefited from you zooming out more and showing the scope of the arena. A lot of these panels really needed room to breath.
Both of you need to work out a way to include backgrounds in your comics, or at least find a way to fill the blank white space, so its a little less distracting. The anatomy was shaky in areas, but since neither of you shied away from tricky poses/ varied facial expressions and angles, I know your art will naturally improve with each comic.

Submitted, throughout this battle period i only had one day of actual sleep, the rest was tons of insomia that resulted in serious anxiety and I do not like the result of this comic and am unhappy with it.

Pizza: I love the action in yours, and the analysis panels were fun! So was that joke at the end of page 5! I think my biggest critique is that while you did a good job at making the Count very expressive even for a bug, Catador's expressions kind of fell a bit flat, mostly because there wasn't much variation.
Arts: You were really harsh on yourself, but I think it was unfairly so. There's some really good action and movement in here! And the panel with Catador getting punched was especially good!! My "critique" is to believe in yourself more
