Hey everyone, thanks so much for your comments on here and on VCast .
I was trying to do something here with the lighthearted style of Johnny’s story as well as trying to use Klepp as a vehicle to explore feelings of depression/anger/self hate I have had to deal with recently and it’s not worked as well as I wanted it to I guess (the fact that they’re both blue was meant to be a kind of metaphor and Klepp was angry at himself but directing it at Johnny etc). Some things to think about for next time. Appreciate the compliments for the art & paneling!
Camel I freaking love your comic and I’ve already told you as much <3 a well deserved win.

Camel: Your new style continues to wow!!!! Although, I don't think this one seems as refined as your previous ones. When's Klepp going to catch a break? ;_;
Jay: Adorable and super funny! You give Johnny SO MANY GOOD FACES in this thing, he's such a lovely young man, I love it. Linework was all really solid, the rough shading was subtle but very nice, and yet you do a lot of creative things with the style that all work really well. I super enjoyed it!! But Johnnyyyy, I have a character for the express purpose of mentoring and giving you all the ancient secrets and methods u_u

Camel: i'm lovin' your style more and more. And Klepp's stories becoming more dark and gritty is strangely more in tune to the whole lore of Dark artifact collectionner. ESpeciallt loved the toxic green light in the alley scene
JettyJay: very fun comic . I like these funny situation caused by typical nonsense such as "i'm blue! youre blue !! YAY"

Camel: I love this style you have been doing in your recent comics with the heavy hatching, there is just something about the raw texture it gives off that I love, I would like to know how you do it since i want to try this style. Also your use of limited color is really cool. However I'm not sure if I like the switch of the background muted green to something more saturated, I'm curious why you changed it to the second color when Klepp is such a bright green. I also feel like maybe some shadows of the second color on Klepp would have been nice in panel 4 page 4 to show us just how badly Klepp got fucked up since some of the details got lost when it's all one color. Besides that though this is a great comic and I want to see you do more of this style.
JettyJay: This humor in this is great, what truly sells is it the reactions which I think is the best part of this comic. You did a great job exaggerating all the expression. I also really like your color palette in this, it's like a smooth pastel. also the layouts you have on the pages like page 6 are really cool. However the story didn't have really any sticking points, maybe if there was a bit more emphasis on their bonding over being blue or something. But even without any sticking story points this was a fun little comic and I wanna see more of Johnny Patch.

CAMEL- I 'll have to echo the admiration for what you're doing lately in your battles. I couldn't quite place your color style, but Heathen is right. It is totally has an anxious fever dream quality to it. Kind of like you're visually enhancing the delirium Klepp is experiencing living life on the streets. This was such a dark tale, I had the creeping suspicion I knew what was gonna happen, but was still hesitant turning the page. The forboding presence was really cool and I think the blood trail is a nice nod to remind us Klepp got really messed up. PLEASE BATTLE MORE. BATTLE ME
JETTYJAY- GREAT comedy. Like, I was laughing page to page. Patch has some great sight gags and his expressions are top notch. While it was enjoyable to see Patches hijinks, story wise, I was left wanting something more than a questline we didn't get to see.

Camel: I love the texture and tone of this comic and it’s setting. The stuff you’ve been doing lately has this fever dream quality to it. I don’t know if you intended this or not, but just before the guy bludgeons Klepp with the pipe, the look on Klepp’s face and the way he’s sort of sitting up and reaching made me think he was enamored with the pipe, and this tunnel vision on the things he covets, regardless of imminent danger, I thought was a really brilliant bit of acting. But then I saw how you depict Klepp’s “klepto-eye” with the orange spot color (which is great), and it made me think maybe I was reading more into the assault scene than was intended.
Jay: This comic looks really great, but the lack of conflict made it hard to get invested.

People have been commenting on old void battles for a bit so I might as well join in specially after reading these.
Holy shit! These were such polar opposites but fantastic in their own ways!
Camel that got dark, but I love those pops of colors! The color change from page 1 through 3. Then that purple and orange!
JettyJay hasn't been on in some time, but I loved the humor of their side! I love Patch's drive to obtain badassery even if it's him harassing a small toad man.
