His past life and real name is mostly unknown to him. The few bits of memory that still lingers are flashes of the last events he lived before re-awakening. Once a Triad leader, the Northern Tortoise, he lost in single combat to a young fighter who wanted revenge for the murder of the fighter\'s father, whom the Northern Tortoise killed. He was spared death, but was arrested because the crippling blow he received in the duel paralyzed him. Sentenced for his crimes, he was on a bus transfer to a maximum security penitentiary when the bus \'crashed\' and rolled off the road into the river bank. He was flung out into the river, and instantly killed. The corpse floated down river until his people retrieved him and attempted to resurrect him with their Tao sorcery. Unable to bring him back to complete life, he then became what is considered a Chinese demon; his past deeds compelled him to transform into an unliving evil spirit. They abandoned his body knowing this, and it floated along until it reached the outer shores of VOID city.

As an undead creature, he is something of a physical and spiritual essence, and vulnerable and affected by both. His hate fuels the new unholy strength and powers he was granted as an evil spirit. Originally he was a master of a Shaolin hybridized martial art of the Hungar Northern Tiger and Southern Crane style. It has now transformed into the evil Gravedigger style. Being undead, fatal wounds and blows won\'t stop him altogether. His skin is a pallid white in the night time, but a ghoulish pale in the day time. The Tao magics performed on him gave him power over his inner alchemy, thus allowing him to expel fire, poison and acid, as well as an overall frightening enhancement of his physical capabilities. He is still as cunning and sadistic as before, but he is a tormented spirit that only seeks to inflict suffering on the living.
