On the contrary, Yuyitron, I've voted on every battle that's gone through since I've joined, usually on the day it's posted.  I just don't leave a lot of comments. :)

Both good entries. Need a moment to chose between the two.

i_spirit: Pretty good art, but I think coloring would of been better for your half of the fight. Um, the dialoge and story you gave was a bit too corney for my tastes, Auras and Fairies... that to me isn't as good of a subject for most stories unless it's pure fantasy (strictly my opinion) if it was more tolkien you'd get more points from me! You do have a pretty good characatured style to your art, and I like that. Good first fight comic though.

Joe: Nice comic man, but yeah, things did look a tad messy and hard to make out, but your story appealed to me. I think that maybe a little more motive for Ger to fight Slack would of been better, and maybe give him more lines or something. But it turned out good man!

My vote will be for Joe on this one, Both good fights! Keep it up or something?

Yay! And now time to hear from the me.

Ger: I liked your fight, but for some reason, it confused me. And I really wasn't too entertained, but that's just me. I like your drawing style a lot... It manages to look cool and relaxed but polished at the same time. Good job.

Slack: You tend to use a lot of black, and there were a couple of places where it really made things confusing. It hid a lot of facial features, and a lot of detail was lost. But other than that, it was nice. It made me laugh.

You both did awesome, but I must say, gotta give the fight to Slack. Rock on, mate.

I get what you all are saying.  I was trying to pull a 180 from my previous basic lineart and I probably got carried away.  From here I'm going to be looking for a happy medium.  I'll have to put some thought into the panel layout--I thought I'd gotten it pretty clear this time (but then, I came to void knowing my layout-fu was weak).

YEah spirit, you need to work on you dialogue. Some of the panels were nicely detailed but you need to arrange them better on your page for better flow.

Slack I agree with everybody else and say that your pages were confusing to look at. You need to be carfeul on how you spot your blacks and lay out your panels.

I liked both fights, though Slack I'll agree with Dan, I had trouble following the action with your choice of shading - as impressive as it was.
Ger, I liked yours, though I'm not a huge fan of your character, I thought you did a pretty good job of it. Corny dialogue, but the figures were good and that counts the most.  ^^  Good jobs boys, both of you!

woah, both of you did really great quality wise. shading and details......nice job there.

ger, i don't think there was much wrong with your fight......the figures seemed kinda stiff at some points, and the 3rd page  was REALLY large, it was hard for me to read.  that's all i can pick out. other than that, your fight was fine by me!

slack, you're was good too, better figures in places, but i think once or twice they seemed a little immobile. also on some pages the panels were kinda hard to follow. i think it was pages.....4 5 and 6...? i dunno, i could be wrong. but yeah, you have a better developed story.

great job from both of you! keep it up  :3

Slack, i found your entry to be a tad bit confusing. The way you shaded the first 3 pages, flat black and white, with SO MUCH black made it hard to tell what, it anything, was happening. If there were two characters in a panel, it was hard to tell them appart and if they were physically seperate from each other. It did have some nice detail though.

Spirit yours confused me a bit too at the end.... like a whole page of "heres my [this] aura and heres me [that] aura" and I was kinda like "huh?" Also your page 3 was HUUUUUGE. im guessing that was an accident though as the others are normal seeable size.

Good jorb to the both of you though. Pretty close fight.

Damn! Got it in w/11 min. left.  Whew... Sorry there's no color.  Script was rushed, too, but whatever.  I had fun.
I had to come all the way to my school to use thier network.  But, it's almost 1:00 am and the school's locked.  So, I'm outside on some picnic bench downloading, sheeit.

So...Who's next? (joke).

Spirit, relax man, she'll give you a fair vote if she wants, but it is her vote. So just keep working and improving on the small things that need it, and you'll do fine. Just be patient and relax, and don't worry about a loss, it doesn't mean you're completely defeated ;) .

Real life bit me in the butt.  As the last week closed in and I saw that I still had 2 pages to pencil, I decided to hedge my bets.  besides which, I think the artwork coming out of this is the best I've pulled off yet, and I didn't want to leave it half finished.  Sorry.

Yo...You can't pre-pick a fighter, Lune.  You might not like me, but I think I deserve a fair vote.

Anyway, thanks for the vote of confidence to the others.  What happened Joe?  I hope you get your stuff in.

I don't know no stinkin' swag!
This match is fine.  It's something to start with, and I was reluctant to pick the fighter.
It was a good thing you talked trash when you had the chance.  Not that you said much.
