Spinzoa: Wow, I\'m flattered. When I was working on this a major goal of mine was for my comic to measure up to your battle with Marcus. To be honest, I think yours was better.

Linus: I definitely know what you mean with the lettering. I don\'t like conventional speech bubbles because they obscure so much of the art, so I\'ve been trying to find a good way to use partially transparent bubbles that take up as little area as possible. So far, though, I haven\'t come up with anything that looks good.

I expected your comic to be a little better than your previous offerings, but I was surprised by how good it was. The flow of the action was spot on, and I loved the bold letters part.

I\'d love to see more back and forth between Marcus and his alter-ego, like you had in your last comic (\"You\'re for abortion? Well guess what--I\'m against!\" was great) and like I tried to capture in my side of the battle. Without that, he\'s kind of a nondescript nut-case, but having the two of them go at it gives both of them so much personality.

SpaceNinja; Wow, your part was plain awesome, especially the scenes inside the hospital with the illuminating  light coming from the windows. Great flow throughout the comic too, and props for making that many awesomely colored pages in just over a month!

Only thing that really bugged me though was those speech bubbles, compared to the rest of the comic they look really unprofessional, but I guess in the end it really isn\'t that big of a problem.

BitterMause; Yeah, the colored page was really an experiment which I\'m glad i tried and you\'re definitely right about the backgrounds so I\'ve been working hard these last few days drawing pretty much only backgrounds.

And as you guessed I cut it short so thats why the ending might be a bit abrupt.

I\'m kinda sad that not many people seem to notice this battle, as it was...literally..ass kicking, make-my-sammich-woman battle, ever. Seriously. It was fresh. Or perhaps not many people have time to comment.

Spaceninja: I am in love with your character. He is just fancy feast on my hobo plate. Your style, sense of humor, panel layout, everything, is just something that I most adore and admire. You have depicted Marcus in a way that brings me to shame. He is not only cooler in yours, but sexier. I love the contstant comedy and sarcasm you added to each page, and I hope to learn a lot from you over and over again as you keep entertaining is with more battles from you. No critique from me, really. Just please keep us up with more of your works. I\'m definatley putting you up on my list. I am your fan.

Linus: You surprised me. Since our last battle, you have become shockingly good. You definately got some distinct style and your hatching is just awesome. What I also enjoyed most about your comic, artistically, is how you added designs to some panels to keep the layouts exciting. They all look time consuming, yet it was very well worth it. Story wise, I always felt fan gurly when you would sometimes make fun of Marcus with some comedy, which is always a plus in my book. Also, your fighting scene drives me madly jealous at your cool concept and ideas. The one scene, where Marcus tried to stab Andrew, but couln\'t get through thaht note pad just enough to give him even a scratch, was instant classic. So. SO cool. Though you do have some work to do on anatomy and perctives, you already have me heart and soul with Marcus. Great work. I honestly want to see more of him!

Damn this is going to be a close one. I liked them both so much.

Space- your style, your character, your whole aura when it comes to artwork is different, and I guess that’s what’s gonna get my vote. It’s funny yet respectably well drawn and on top of that professionally colored. So cool points go to you.

Linus- I’m feelin’ your character a lot as well and the page that you did color spoke volumes (sometimes it’s not how much color you use it’s how you use it) but the story seemed to cut short for me. Maybe I just wanted to see more kick ass pen-is-mightier fighting, or maybe I wanted someone to either die or have them make nice… who knows, it just felt a bit abrupt for an ending with such a cool beginning and middle.

Keep up the work, both you guys kick ass!

Spaceninja: Oh my god...I was expecting a unique entry, but this is so much better than I had pictured in my head. You have a very good use of panel variety without making the pages overly cluttered. Besides the clean artwork and inking, what won me over in your entry was the storytelling. I liked the concept of the two guys going to college together, and Andrew cutting Marcus some slack. The fight scenes were very well choreographied. ( Never thought using letters would be such a deadly medium ) I sadly don\'t have anything to really critique you with, but I did get a little thrown by the \'stop sign\' scene. Then again, I\'m picky on transitions.

Linus: Your linework is getting alot better dude. I love how you\'re also using a bunch of cross-hatching and pattern varieties to keep the comic interesting.  What really suprised me was the coloring display on page 8. It\'s so clean and balances well with the line variety. Honestly, you ought to do a few more of those sometime. My only critiques are the background work, examples being pages 3 and 4.  Page 3, when Marcus is crouching it looked like he was huddled inside a room rather than by the porch outside. ( could be because the wall he was leaning on lacked detail, plus I didn\'t see any sidewalk area. )
Page 4 on the top panel, the buildings and details were rather scrunched together and felt congested. The ending felt rather quick and slightly loose ended, but one can only do so much and I assume you ran out of time, right?

Good job you two!

Uploaded. 13 pages, they\'re doubled-up on 4, 7, and 9. You might want to read Marcus\' last comic before reading mine, or at least the last page of it.

Can\'t wait to see your side Linus!

Ahhh yay more Marcus action! You improved alot from the last fight Linus, so let\'s see some more progression in this one <3.
and Spaceninja, very best of luck to Andrew\'s first battle.  He stands out as a very unique individual, so I\'m curious as to how you\'ll pull this off.
