THEN COME TO WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO. second week of August, 9 - 12th. *FIST*

Oh man. EVERYONE IS WELCOME AT MY PLACE. I'm only like 20 miles northeast of the convention center. YEAH.
(Just don't stay with Galvo. Glendale Heights is most certainly for homosexuals.)

What town is that?
Also does anyone know you? haha.

Hey Evan! I love that out of time book, I often look through it when I need a pick me up.

If you liked that book, you should check this out out.

The Moomins are the central characters in a series of books by Finnish writer Tove Jansson, originally published in Swedish. They are a family of Scandinavian trolls who are white, round and furry in appearance, with large snouts that make them resemble hippopotamuses.

To achieve Ultra Super-Much cooler than a samurai level and to prove to myself that I can, behold drawings that are just pure ink. NO PENCILS! Just good old quick straight ink. Haven’t done that in years, I loved it. Makes me feel like a kid again. Drawing was fun again!

Big girl love.

Because Wei thinks he is a big bad brush bully.

And me to prove the way of the brush pen!

My abstract mug and dry brush thought this would make some werido book cover.
Bad karama for using photoshop in this thread! But good example of jam playful ness??

Well, for one: A computer and the internet does a whole lot more than merely producing and posting pictures. And for me, I have no art store in my city ( very small used to be a town a couple years ago) so I'd have to go out of my way to pick one up.

Mmm..We weren't talking about the functions of ethier. We were talking cost. Perhaps you should use the computer and internet to order ink if you wanted some. Just a thought.

How could none of you have ink but have a computer and the internet. A decent size bottle of ink is a little over 2 dollars.

How come brush pens aren't allowed? I just imported a 40 dollar one from Japan. Recommended to myself by a samurai hero of mine, andy runton. It has a real brush tip, a far cry from your adverage brush tip nonsense.

because brush pens are an easy out...they are to brushes what microns are to nib pens....you can learn a lot more from real brushes and real pens and more importantly you can get more out of them.....microns and brush pens are cool and all and have their uses...but you should only be using them after you have used the real thing for a while

!!!!!! An easy out!? Master Wei, you have disgraced the honor of the brush pen!! Surely you have never witnessed the power and grace of the Kuretake pen. I assure you the brush pen is equal to the brush without the annoying dip factor. I will you show it’s true power shortly!

The art style looks pretty damn cool in my opinion too, she makes excess use of Watercolors, resulting in something pretty appealing.

He, not she.

GO FOR BROKE! / Re: Ely´s scribbles
« on: Jan 09, 2007, 12:20 PM »
Those sketches are soild, but a little wonky in places.

In the 1st drawing the back of the head seems to be missing and in the 2nd jaw is loose and the nose is destractingly long. You have a good concept of head structure, but study a real skull/face a little bit longer to become stronger in these kind of drawings and you'll be good to go.

GO FOR BROKE! / Re: STUFFS
« on: Jan 09, 2007, 08:44 AM »
Practice with more realisic poses. All your characters have broken spines and your giving them the classic anime lean. I think you'll benefit greatly with a more natural concept of human structure in your head when you go to draw, then after that you can make them do all sorts of wacky things. Also some of your drawings look like you give up half way. :(

You can read comics without actually buying them--that's why I love Borders and Barnes & Noble. XD
