"What is this tournament?"
Why, this is a themed Speed Death Tournament! That means one week rounds! How exciting!

"A theme! What kind of theme?"
The best kind of theme! This is all about you taking that old character of yours that you have locked away deep, deep in the catacombs of your heart, and busting them out of prison! Take them into the fresh air and let’s see what you have!

"So when you say old characters…"
I mean an old character! Not one you submitted to Void, mind you, but any old character that you’ve forgotten about from your past. Maybe they’re a dark secret from a Naruto RPG or maybe you just haven’t drawn them in a long time! Those characters are buried treasure in this tournament!

"Wow! I’ve got just the character!"
Fantastic! To sign up with that character, you need to have a new design sheet AND proof of an old image of them. Now, it doesn’t have to be an old design sheet necessarily, but an illustration, a shot, basically an image of the character created by your past self. If we can’t really tell the difference between your art now and your art then, that’s kind of a poor fit for the tournament!

"An old design sheet? But really, I made this character a long time ago!"
You gotta show the pages! That is a requirement! Only old characters because this tournament is gonna be capped at 8 people so space is a premium! If you don’t have an old image, find another character!

"You know, I do have that Naruto character I made when I was a literal babychild…"
That’s great! Super even! That kind of stuff is definitely within the theme of the tournament! But remember to divorce them from being just a fancharacter! Void is for Original Characters. They don’t need to be Goku’s boyfriend-dad anyways! I’m sure they’re a super character.

"Is there anything else I need?"
Well, I’d hope you’re registered to the site. If you got that out of the way, then not much else! You’re going to have to remember to submit your entry through the regular character creation. All you will need is a Design Sheet and a 50x50 Icon. Intro pages are not required for this tournament at all since these will all be death matches.

You may want to put your old design sheet somewhere in your submission. If you don’t submit a file with both old and new side-by-side, might I recommend in one of the Intro Page slots (if you don’t plan on giving us an intro story)?

At the very least, you have to post it with your new design sheet here when signing up, otherwise you won’t be counted for applying to the tournament and that would be sad!

"What about in the comic proper? All I know about is the Light Speed Death Tournament!"
Unlike the LSDT, you have a week to do your comic and a week to vote, as usual. There is no page restrictions, so go as big or as small as you feel comfortable with. These are death matches, so your opponent must die. To that end, both you and your opponent’s characters gotta show up! (You don’t have to be the one to kill your opponent, of course.)

There will be only 8 slots for this tournament due to time considerations! (Unless by some weird stroke we get LSDT numbers, in which case that may change. Keyword being may.) As a result, people could be cut and you may not get in. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t sign up anyways if you’re interested! Don’t count yourself out immediately as if it’s a given! Join! We would love to have you!

Myth: In the room with the film on the windows will be too hot
 
Reality: The film is carried out additional thermal insulation (by filtering), making it difficult to transfer heat from the street in the room and back. Therefore, if the normal room conditions (in the summer - cooler than outside, and in winter - warmer), the film will only improve the situation.
 
Only if heat losses are welcome (requires strong heat dissipation from the room in winter or summer, a significant flow of it), the film is not advisable to use.
 
 
Myth: The film will bubble or come off
 
Reality: good quality film with an adhesive layer for qualitative application will not come off, bubbling, or to exercise any other defects throughout the entire service life (usually at least 10-15 years).

I would like to see an an All Together Now, but as I only have one "living" character id be unable to participate myself.

The All Together Now! Tournament was created with this in mind and I designed it so that people can use dead characters for it. It was originally a replacement for the Month of the Dead for a year, but the point of it was more that your characters are teaming up. To that end, some people only have a living and dead character, only dead characters, so it was done that a team of living and/or dead could be made up in any combination. You'd be certainly able to participate unless the tournament happens to change and deviates from its original design.

(There's literally only one candidate to choose and it's Dr. Fabulous)

SPOOKY SCARMAGEDDON, LET'S DO A SPOOKY SCARMAGEDDON!

"What is this spooky scar-thing?"
Ah yes, Scarmageddon. An old idea first run by myself and Qyzex, Scarmageddon is an all-inclusive scar match single-round tournament, and yes, this means you can enter. Everyone who applies is involved. Scarmageddon does not discriminate!

This year is particularly special due to the new rules crafted for dead characters, allowing them to participate in scar matches and have consequences as a result! That makes this a SPOOOOOOoooOOOoooOOOOKY SCARMAGEDDON! So, how can you NOT join in?
(It's also special cause I didn't post this while blitzed out of my mind!)

"Could even I enter?"
Yes, even you could enter! If you have a character and want to participate, that means you can enter! Especially if you have a dead character! The dead are super welcome this year (but so's the living)!

"I’m super scared of being scarred!"
Better not enter then! Just like you would expect death in a Speed Death Tournament, expect scars in Scarmageddon! If you enter and are unhappy with the results, its all on you! We promise nothing but the creativity of your peers!

"I’m not scared of being scarred, tell me more!"
That’s the spirit! This tournament will begin on Sunday, October 16th! To enter, simply sign up in the thread with your character of choice. The tournament will last for 5 weeks, with the drawing period ending on Sunday, November 20th! Not like the Invitational, this will only be one round. There’s no redemption opportunity, you have to do it right the first time! You only have the 5 weeks to do the comic! Generally speaking groups will be divided up to around 5 - 6 participants in each group. However, it's not impossible that your group could end up being a group of 4 or a group of 7, depending on participation.

"Do I have to scar everything?"
As all other scar matches, you must scar everyone. Prepare for a battle, you need to showcase all characters and scar all characters involved in your group.
I can't be any clearer on this, because even if it's a small scar, something needs to change from beginning to end. If you can accomplish this, you're golden! Otherwise, you're disqualified. So don't be disqualified! Be golden!

If you happen to lose Scarmageddon, the only scar that matters to your character is the one that the winner gives your character. Every other scar doesn't matter at that point.

However! It is worth mentioning that some of our previous participants took the scars that all of the other artists gave their character. Some artists even scarred their own characters! That is completely up to your discretion (but is a ton of fun!).

"I never battled before! Am I still able to join? Could I make a new character?"
If you want to make this your first battle, awesome! If you want to make a new character for it, you’re also more than welcome to get someone new in before that time period. This isn’t the Invitational though, so you’d need to actually make the intro pages and go through the standard submission process.

"What will happen if I lose?"
Then your character will be listed as 'Inactive' until you alter your design sheet to reflect the scar you gained from the winner of your bracket. It’s the same deal as losing a regular scar match, so don’t worry!

"I've seen this Scarmageddon before, RoflQu! You can't pull the wool over my eyes, I want something good!"
Well, how about this! If you win Scarmageddon this year, you will earn the coveted title of SLAUGHTERMASTER!
I can hear the Monster Truck Rally announcer singing your praises already. Just imagine it, your character forever known as a SLAUGHTERMASTERof Void. Now that's a hard deal to pass up!
