VOID Characters and Comics / Re: The places of Void

Just because this NEEDS to go up on the list

SHOCK CITY (Electric gutair wails) ......(Explosion)

Void City's bastard, redheaded step sister city, SHOCK CITY.

SHOCK CITY: A freakish neighboring city to Void. It almost makes little to no sense. It is a mile wide and about 100 miles long. It is set up like this so they can have Motorcycle/Monster Truck/ Shark races. The police foces is Vikings on Clydesdales. Every hour on the hour, the clocktower chimes hard rock and a monster truck ramps out of it followed by explosions. The city is totally badass. It's also considered the sibling town of void. Often even mentioning the name of the city can cause a mass wailing of electric guitars followed by some explosion. Usually, if you aren't born or raised in the town, navigation is very difficult.

Plus, I can think of 5 fighters right off hand that hail from SHOCK CITY (Electric gutair wails) ......(Explosion)

BEST.  PLACE.  EVAR.

VOID Characters and Comics / Re: The places of Void

I'm thinking of making a Void City High School if the applicable character gets in.  Once I've designed it, I'll let you guys know what general landmarks I included.

If there already is one, then please save me the trouble and describe it for me.

Anyway, I love the first two, like everone else, but I don't see why people don't love the last one, too.  It's all good, mate.  Great, in fact.

Good points....  but as far as a moral struggle, I'm thinking it would indeed place the character under the 'misguided hero' category instead of the 'villain' one.

7
That's true, but the qualities we use to objectively differentiate between a hero and a villain are the very qualities with which a hero will struggle.  If a villain struggles with them also, he's just a hero that started on the bottom and is working his way up, basically.  If he finds it a struggle at all, it shows him as one who wants to do society's idea of the 'right thing,' instead of his own, the latter of which being what makes the villain the villain.  To show this struggle and to win against it would make a hero, and to lose against it would show a weak-willed individual.

8
Would a villainous protagonist have to overcome his flaws like a hero, though?  I mean, unless he was evil for the sake of being evil, he wouldn't correct the things that make him good, and the things that make him bad are not something you would correct if he's going to remain a villain.

I guess he could struggle with his tendency to do evil, but I can't imagine ever reaching a definitive outcome, because it would destroy the character.

Correct me if I'm, wrong, by all means.  I can't write a storyline for shit, so I don't really have an authoritative stance here.
