A hardened detective with a twisted moral compass of right and wrong. Gumshoe's investigative skills are nothing to be trifled with, and he genuinely wants the best for his beloved city, but his talent for murder is nearly parallel. Without the fear of death, he believes, placation sets in and the sense of self-preservation is numbed. And that's when people slip up. That's when people become careless. But above all, that's when people must be reminded they are not invincible, and for that, examples must be made from time to time.

What's a few bodies in the morgue to help the remaining innocent remain vigilant?

These days, though, after the lightspeed bouts of death and destruction that the LSDT wrought, our detective has found he no longer needs to go out to fulfill a quota. Not anytime soon, anyway. The people are already awake enough to see the world is a dangerous place, and that they must react accordingly. For now, he will work to help reel back any injustice that threatens to pull the delicate balance that has been set back into chaos. The level of brutality within his methods, however, will remain relatively the same.

As for what he truly is, was, or will be, nobody can say for quite sure. Is he a prophet of the Void? Or the city given flesh itself? It's interpretations that will never be solved, as the secret is kept from all but himself. But when the city is threatened to be thrown into irreparable chaos once more, those with a keen eye will be able to see that familiar, disturbing visage once more.
