Day 25: Brachialis

Muscle 26: Serratus Anterior aka the top of the zippers  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serratus_anterior_muscle
While they technically start on the back, they're only visible on the body towards the front in the small part between the lats and the obliques where they zip together.

Day 24: Biceps

Muscle 25: Brachialis aka Biceps best friend  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brachialis_muscle
Arms two days in a row, because the Brachialis is an important part of what makes biceps peak.
and yes, your arms have Biceps Brachii, Brachialis, and Brachioradialis all next to each other. Because that's how you name stuff...
Just be lucky we aren't going any deeper into the Biceps, they have a long and short head, and the long head is the shorter one.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mO70v8F9VeQ - this dude does a great video series on workouts, but he draws the muscles on himself to show how they work. It's great for seeing where they're supposed to be and where they move when you flex.

Day 21: Pectoralis Major

Muscle 22: Adductor Magnus  (and Longus, and Brevis) Aka the thigh gap muscles.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adductor_magnus_muscle
This collection of muscles help pull your legs together. Like when you have to pee and hold it in.

So close to the bicep, but not quite yet.

Day 16: Tongue

Muscle 17: Extensor Digitorum  aka  the high five muscle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extensor_digitorum_muscle
This guy's job is pulling the tendons in your fingers to stretch them out, much like the extensor digitorum longus does in your legs.

Day 15: Bicep Femoris

Muscle 16: Tongue  aka not technically the strongest muscle in your body, but we like to think it is. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongue
ok, so no, we're not going in depth on the tongue, it's STUPIDLY complicated to draw all the muscles inside and around the jaw. Just doing some practice on one of the most flexible muscles in the body to remember that there's a lot of little muscles in the face that while they might not get focused or really buff are useful for knowing how the face emotes.
(careful googling reference for this one, there's a lot of gross examples)

Day 13: Latissimus Dorsi

Muscle 14: Deltoid aka Shoulder Muscles https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deltoid_muscle
Finally we're on to the muscles that make Tsumi who she is. Those gigantically broad shoulders!
I've learned and re-learned and re-learned these muscles over and over, realizing each time there's more to the shapes than I had thought before.

Day 12: Gluteus Maximus

Muscle 13: Latissimus Dorsi aka Lats https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latissimus_dorsi_muscle
These ones are important, dang near every depiction of "muscular" person shows off these weird back to front wrappers as they both dominate the back and give the upper torso width.

because friendly giant worked too well. But how did they end up at the school at the same time? who cares! time turner nonsense. Fortunately young Tsumi is oblivious to the connection.

Day 10: Sartorius

w/ special guest, Fawn!

Muscle 11:  Extensor Digitorum Longus and Extensor Hallicus Longus  aka upper toe muscles  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extensor_hallucis_longus_muscle
Desi made it hard on us today. hehe. I just picked two, but there's a lot of little muscles in the toes, on top and bottom of your feet to flex and move your lil piggies.
We're focusing on the ones that start up in the leg, the tendons stretching across the top of the foot, and stretch the toes out when flexed. Because they're on occasion seen on very veiny feets near the "toe knuckles"

Day 9: Rectus Abdominis

Muscle 10: Sartorius  aka leg huggers  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sartorius_muscle
These long thin muscles on the leg wrap around the thigh, and are often useful for demonstrating rotation on an otherwise less ripped subject.

Sleepy time Tsumi~

Muscle 9: ABS! aka rectus abdominis or the cheese grater  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rectus_abdominis_muscle
It's about time for something fun. Void's got plenty of ab machines out there so break out your 6 packs (or 8, or 10 if you're really genetically lucky)

Day 7: Erector Spinae

Hairball and now Drumstick know that when Tsumi's too exhausted after a workout to get up is the perfect time to demand pets.
Drumstick is just a little too excited sometimes. hehe.

Muscle 8: Brachioradialis and Extensor carpi radialis longus  aka the ridge muscle or "that bulgy thing connecting the forearm and upperarm that isn't the elbow."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brachioradialis
These two dictate a lot of how the arm twists in drawings and adds a lot of depth when flexed. and while technically separate are usually conveyed together.

This one's an important one for getting most of what people use for defining leg forms down.

If there's still time to join, Tsumi's in for the Tea party.
Not really her thing, but that makes it all sillier. ^_^
