AirSong, I love your art style, and that was some interesting stuff, I felt like it was way short however.
Kura. Art style was kind of rough and line-y for my personaly tastes, but I have to hand it to you, that was a really good comic, and I loved the addition of the Choose YOur Own ending.

Amazing Battle you guys, best of luck to you both.

I\'ll have to hold on with the votes and crits till i can make sence of this.

Genderbender jam? kawaii neko jam? random comments about DA?
Is this an inside joke specifically known to a group of people i missed during my absence of the forums? i don\'t get it.

I think some people are blowing the minute 300 reference out of proportion, it\'s one page out of ten, and hardly the starlet page.
That outta the way-- Kura\'s made me grin like a madman, but I started to get disappointed with the art quality as it went down. I DID like that there was use of the brush! Not just lone microns or dip pens. And the choose your own adventure ending was a nice change of pace. A comic on dA bashing could have come off as really trite, but I think you managed to keep it satirical and not sound like you\'re being \"zomg su srsus.\" AKA: It brought the lulz.

Airsong\'s was more consistent and neater, but I agree about the excessive gutterspace between panels. Tighten those up a bit. Also it was rather bare-bones creatively, with not much substance to it. I think the characterization could have been pushed more, show use Cue seeing Kaz being happy-go-lucky and hyper childish, instead of Cue having this odd stalker-vibe where she just \"knows\" and tells.

Kura, loved the match. The entire point of it was satire, was a humorous dig at how people are acting... gold. I enjoyed the pokes at things like 300 and DA. Unlike SOME people, I find the 300 thing still very amusing. The lines were weak, yeah... But you\'re working that up well, I think. I see improvement between battles, and that matters to me a lot. Effort is always worth it.

Hell, your comic made me laugh more than a lot, recently, and wasn\'t a cliche \'good guy saves the day... AGAIN\'. <_< Anyway, I agree with Monday. I\'d be willing to pick this up in a comic section for the laughs alone. Who doesn\'t need a good chuckle now and then, eh?

Kaz, very cute. The pages felt very... very very empty to me. Some shading might have helped, but overall, the way you did the panels confused me a bit. Left too much of the page untouched and was a bit of a turn off. Storywise, again, cute. Not much else to say to it, really. It was... cute. Still, coming along nicely. I look forward to seeing more of Kaz. :D

Kura gets my vote on this one. Loved it.

I\'ve pretty much come to the conclusion that the bulk of Void commentators are de-\"void\" (LOLZ) of any sense of humor other than weird british references that make no sense and penis jokes. You guys rock. Seriously. Maybe when you hit your 12th birthday you\'ll come to realize that some people use satire and sarcasm as a means of comedy.

Monday, i didn\'t expect Kura to go for a straight action style of battle, yet the constant randomness and popular jokes just felt like they were there to add extra pages for a story that wasn\'t developed enough. Not forgetting the fact that those jokes have been done many times before and just weren\'t implemented well enough to make them more hilarious than the previous times. I dunno, this battle just lost its appeal to me for those reasons even though i like seeing Kura in action.

Sorry monday, but unlike you, I didn\'t like this comic at all, meme\'s and all! Not fond of the other comic either

Kura: Man, you\'re going to hate me after reading this...... I know others love meme\'s, but me, I hate them with a passion. The reason why is because everybody starts using a joke from a movie or a game over and over again online to the point where it\'s no longer funny. One good movie that I like that was ruined by meme\'s: Monty Python and the Holy Grail (Example: How many people do you know that can recite what the Knights of Ni say in the movie or other quotes? Only they say the same damned lines over and over again?). And now, even though this is the first time it\'s been done on void (and even though I\'ve never seen this fucking movie and probably never will at this point), the 300 joke just isn\'t funny anymore... It\'s everywhere! Just because it\'s on void now doesn\'t mean it\'s a good joke, nor original!

If you\'re looking to make a good and original random comic, read one of hiemie\'s fights, he at least makes the jokes work with the story instead of just slapping in whatever random thing he can find. Artwise your lineart isn\'t very looking good either lately, half of the time it looks decent, and half of the time it\'s faded or grainy looking which makes it look half finished. You\'re also abusing the crosshatching a bit too much in alot of the panels and everything just ends up looking like a flat scribbly mess (See: Kaz in rage mode panels)

As for the other two catagories, I\'m biased like monday; but to the extreme opposite. I hate internet meme\'s. They were only original and entertaining when their creators made them or when they were first introduced in movies, and in my opinion: it doesn\'t require one creative bone in your body to slap in something that somebody else already made.

Airsong: Man, I know you\'ve got alot more in you than this. Your last comic had alot more heart in it, this just seems half assed. While I\'ll give you more credit artwise for making everything look consistant, there\'s still a lot of negitive space that just screams to be filled up with something. Storywise I was expecting something a bit more interesting than Cue shooting Kaz, and Kaz fleeing the scene. C\'mon, ya gotta strive to do better with each and every fight you give us!

I really don\'t have anything else to say, I wasn\'t fond of either comic, so I evened out my vote for both of them.

Haha kura X, talk about spoof mania. The take on 300 cracked me up. The comic overall was pretty entertaining and enjoyable i say, a nice job all together.

AirSong it was short but not a sweet as I thought i could\'ve been. The artwork was a tad neater than kura\'s, but wasn\'t coupled with a decent enough story for me.

So far as Kura\'s battle goes, I liked it, even though it was a bit over the top. The only problem I\'m having is that it really seemed to be very suck-upy towards Void itself. I mean, everyone likes Void, and DA bashing is fine enough, but there\'s just like... nearly pages devoted to thumbs-downs to DA. I think that it would have been really fun to see a bit more picking on Kaz, since it seems like he\'s just kind of nodding and going along with your character throughout your pages. Nice art though, and you kept it fairly consistant. I guess the lack of backgrounds in the earlier panels was probably intentional. That one finger pointing toward the screen frame also looks a little wanky, though given, it\'s not always easy to do.

I actually liked the expressions more in this comic than in Kura\'s, because Cue seemed to transfer so well. I like Kaz\'s character, but it would have been nice to see a little more depth than that final punch at the end. Overall, I think I liked Cura\'s better because the ending(s) seemed to pull it together better.

Cue\'s comic-  I gotta say braking the fourth wall and being kind of random can be really funny in small doses but when its the whole comic it loses its effect and seems a little cheap, I gave a good creativity score though because it is original but I thought it effected your comic negatively entertainment wise. Also there were hardly any panels that had backgrounds so its seemed like there was a lot of blank space. However I do agree that the twist on the ending was pretty fun even though it was braking the fourth wall again and there were funny parts.

Kaz\'s comic- This was so cute Kaz acted really adorable in it, It kept me smiling the whole way threw. The characters interacted well with each other and I gave a very good entertainment score. Visually I liked it too, I liked all the different thinkness\'s of the lines, that was interesting and for some reason the gray eyes looks really good with everything else, you have a nice style. In my opion it is hard to find something negative about this comic the only thing I could really think of was that the storyline wasn\'t terribly original though it wasn\'t exactly unoriginal either. It probably could have had a better ending but its understandable because its hard to start and end a comic in four pages.

Mokuu if you seriously thought Kura was aiming for a straight action battle \"mood\" then you shoulda said \"I wanted a straight action battle and not some hillariously crafted 4thwall meme random fest\"
And what 300 reference are you talking about ? There was like THREE in Void history including the ones I made before the movie even came out. And if you\'re gonna count off on the globally used 300 reference, you could also go for the overused Akuma, Pheonix Wright, Hellsing, Fist of the North Star manification gags. It\'s like blaming a dead rabbit for being smelly.

Kura, you take this, despite art and the conventions of common sense. You  still need work on line weight and composition as they are still shaky at this point and if you\'re using pencils lines that are being outlined by a PEN then that\'s probably the problem.  Ask me later how that is.
In any case you fucking bombed my morning with this and being someone who\'s still in the OC competition I slightly blushed at being the target audience. No need to talk of pacing and execution because these have been handled correctly. The experience I got reading this surpassed the nitpicky aspects and  I definitely got into the comedic pie. However, in the spirit of battling , I think your opponnent felt like a fill in the blank- as his role could have been filled with any other fighter . . . . that is 5 inches tall . . . and can be considered a peer by another fairy .  . . . ok you win.

Kaz, sorry you to say but if I was going in a comic book store, yours would be the standard anime I leaf through and Kura\'s the one I\'m gonna steal along with the hentai. The art is executed nicely with a bit of tweaking needed since only your faces and figures seem to be the only strong point here. Other than that you should attempt shading to balance out the tones as your pages seem white.
Might have to take points off on creativity since Cue\'s mood bullets didn\'t even take effect :<

Kura, it was an ok idea to go a bit random a-la Excel Saga but there it felt more like you constantly were stalling the action with it. You barely had any type of backgrounds in perspective and also kinda killed the mood with the 300 reference. Its been done so many times in the last months that it looses its charm after a while. The ending choice was an interesting twist yet try to extend it next time. Anyway i know you can do better than this, maybe you\'ve got too many competitions at once in your hands.

Kaz, your comic was to the point and had a clean layout, the rpg reference was ok yet i would have liked to see something longer or with a better solution than a simple energy blast for the win. The scribbled panels were an interesting idea yet try to use a higher level of perspective when it comes to your scenes, not just side views and front shot, use the angles etc.

Good match on both side.

ahahaha, Kura, that was great.  I giggled, a lot.
not sure how to critique it, style wise, since it changed a lot from crappy to good. THe panel with Cue shooting the rage bullet was most excellent. Best one in the comic, i\'d say.

AirSong, the art is nice and smooth, which I like. But, much like me, there\'s a lot of empty space between panels.
I wish it was longer, so there would be more draw up until the end. Build into it, and give it a more complete ending.

Good job you two!
