Burlesque is a being of magic. On their own, they have no voice and minimal personality, so they rely heavily on copying other people to function socially. The main thing they have going for them on their own is a solid moral compass and a strong sense of justice. These two things are the main thing that makes the personality incorrect. Despite the inaccuracies, Burlesque can be a great actor when they need to be.

In order for Burlesque to copy someone, they need to be looking at the face of the person they want to copy. They do not need to be looking at their face the whole time, the person does not need to be physically present (a person can be copied from a photo or video), they don't need to know of Burlesque's existence, and they don't even be alive in order for Burlesque to copy them.

Wearing a mask does not make you immune to Burlesque's ability, but it does hinder it. This is not the case if the mask IS the person's face (i.e. if the mask is a built in part of the character design then this rule does not apply)

Burlesque's knowledge of the person they are copying has no effect on the ability, however, Burlesque can't make reference to knowledge they don't have. (i.e. They do not copy memories)

Burlesque is not limited to copying humans, if it's bipedal it's fair game.

Burlesque's body is made of a material that seems to look and feel like fiberglass, but it cuts and scrapes similarly to skin. Burlesque's body has no internal organs and is made entirely out of this material the whole way through.

Nobody really knows where Burlesque is from, not even Burlesque.
