@ The_BenT_One: Thanks for the advice, I'll take it to heart and try it the next time I do something for comedic effect.  It helps me to know what works and what doesn't work as I'm still testing the waters as to what effective comic making should be like.

@ Kuro:  Yeah I would have liked to have digitally inked this, but I found myself pressed for time, so I did the best I could possible with the pencils.  I agree with the rush and the off pacing with this.  I intially had 3 more pages that I had that would have helped with the pacing, but I ended up cutting them because of time and also because I was having difficulty drawing it/panneling it the way I wanted.  Thanks for your input, I'll try to be more careful with my pacing in future comics.

@ Anthonybaiz: Glad you like my work, I'm trying to work faster without sacrificing quality, but it looks like I still work in that department.  I like trying to play with perspective since I'm not great at it, but practice makes it easier as time goes by.

@ RektheArtist: Thank you for battling me.  I had fun drawing Sammy and I really liked your side of the battle.  I noticed you used a larger brush this time but it doesn't have the solidity/crispness as your last one.  I think you need increase the hardness of the brush so that it doesn't have that soft fuzzy edge if you want to use it for lineart.  Coatl's suggestion of using the pencil tool is good too.

Anatomy is something that with practice that will get better with time and it's helpful to look/reference anatomy books.  Children ARE difficult to draw, their proportions are a bit different from an adult, especially infants, but it's all good practice.  Also, try looking at different comic/panelling layouts since some of your panel placement seem a bit chaotic.  Good luck in your future battles. :D

I really like the looseness of your work ShojinTakaru. And your angles are great.

Sho, the pencils were nice, albeit a little on the rough side. They probably weren't your intention to upload, but a little bit of cleaning would've gone a bit to help them. Towards the end though, things felt like you were really rushing though & anatomy got compressed or things weren't as clear as it started.
This wasn't really quite paced well for comedy though. It starts with a few panels a page & feels like it just gets denser & denser until it starts getting hard to read. Comedic timing is something you need to handle when pacing your story. And if you overload us with panels, you're not going to hit the laughs you're trying to set up.

rek, your layouts feel very haphazard & you're leaving a lot of negative space in the gutters that could be used for panel real estate & more room for your art. Also consider varying your angles more. You use a very similar two shot of your guy standing next to one of the kids talking at least a dozen times in this. And not just kids, brush up on your adult anatomy too.

ShojinTakaru: in the panel where Sammy screams, you used something which I see many other people doing, mainly for comedic effect. I'm talking, of course, about the *insert here* gag. At this point, it's no longer a viable comedic element. It would have been far funnier to have drawn giant exagerated type (ex: IIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE) and have it fill the space behind Sammy.

A small element, but it's these small things that you need to pay attention to in order to improve overall.

Rek, if you're gonna ink digitally I suggest two thing.

after you do the rough draft, flip horizontally to try to spot mistakes.

And I also suggest you ink with pencil tool. Yeah it looks so pixelated when you work on it big but once you shrink your pages, they look nice.

Fffffffffffff yea!!!!! 8DD Ok time to get commenting. >:3
@Shojin: I have to say that I really envy on how you do your poses, anatomy, and most of all, perspective views. *flails* It's so nice to see and you really nailed Sammy down on the spot! :D *love love* It wasn't that many pages but I still really enjoyed it and hurray for sketchyness of the pages! <3
Ivan was a lot of fun to draw and most of all, so much awesome to color! xD I absolutely love his outfit and he gave me more freedom and more practice to draw child anatomy. :3 We kinda had the same idea it would seem, close but oh well. I really enjoyed doing this battle probably my best one yet I might have to say, even though I did ran into a few stressful points since school and personal life was interrupting my busy line. :c But I got it done, all colored, and I hope that I did not disappoint you. <3
