Goddaaaamnit Zest I looooove yyooooouuuuuuuuu. You have the best style dude, and such awesome expressive lines. Seriously the only I want of this comic is more of it. And for it to be bigger. You could've made it so much bigger and still had it all fit on screen, and that would've made the text easier to read too.  I can't wait till more pages start dropping on your webcomic, just so I get to see more of your lovely art.

So this is an interesting and whimsical variation on your usual style and it's fairly cute.  The biggest problem here are the dialogue boxes.  Did you intend to color this?  Because differently colored boxes would have gone a long way towards aiding the reader.  Another issue here is that you didn't plan the boxes with composition in mind so it turns to hurt the art in general.  I'm going to leave for you here an example of a comic that accomplishes these goals while using dialogue boxes.  And it's by Jim Mahfood.

Zest, reading your work is like watching Cartoon Network during it's heyday. It's delicious and delectable. Good work old chap.

ZEST- Hooray! Comics from youuuuu! I've missed seeing your work on the site. I feel like its been a while or something. I know a good number of people default and promise completion, but never get around to it, so kudos on being dedicated to delivering!

I think first and foremost, what hit me upon turning to the first page is your text. It's really crammed into those boxes and tough to read, besides. I currently have my screen super zoomed to make it out and  think just how its written just makes it tough. To be fair the style matches your art very well, just wish it was legible. I did dig the style you chose as Leland looks mega awesome as a big nosed chibi paladin. Super cute! I do admit I had some trouble recognizing everyone else though.I think its Lilyfeather whose perched on the bottom of page3? I really dig that angle. Also was anyone else weirded out that TLBot could talk?

Still, this concept of fighters D&D-ing doesn't fail to be charmingly nerdy and I dug you and your old teams interpretations. :)

Zest! I love this! The ending was great to me.

I have two notes,

1) for the first page I got lost on who was saying what in one of the panels because of so many different word bubbles from different people in the same panel, and only halfway through the comic did I realize that there were lines that pointed who was saying what. Also had trouble figuring out when Buster Jones was speaking to the group.

2) this would have looked amazing colored, it's a shame that that didn't happen

Still sad you weren't able to pull this out for the event but so glad that you pushed through and released it anyway, like Wei said, very very few defaulters make good on their promise to BB the comic later~

Thumbs up!

given how this was already late and is at this point a BB which you already had more than 5 weeks to work with and no limits going forward...it would have been nice(perhaps even expected) to see a proper estsablishment/opening and maybe a better ending.(even had this been submitted on time my complaint wouldbe the same....except I owuld have said you were depending on your fellow competitors comics and the actual event to set these elements instead of doing them yourself)..the artwork is still rushed and the pacing feels like it isn't finished...it feels more like you finished what you already had instead of giving us a complete comic

but I give you points for submitting....a lot of defaulters don't even do that
