Haha shiiiitt. Thanks for PM'ing me though, I would have been subject to more ridicule if this had gone on a couple more days without me knowing!

Well based on your avatar alone you've won me over, haha. Welcome to entervoid or EVO as the cool kids call it (nobody actually calls it that) I hope to see you around often, this place really is great for getting better in a hurry. I've learned a lot since I joined the site. And your stuff looks great already!

As far as what to work on this year, drawing every single day is the obvious one but it's the single thing that has helped me most. Post up some comics and participate in battles. It's easy to create something that looks good when you have an unlimited amount of time to work on it but working against a deadline will help reveal what your weaknesses are. Like for me, my weakness continues to be time management. So when I have a couple of weeks to do a battle and I manage my time badly, stuff like backgrounds and inking and coloring fall by the wayside, and it shows when it comes time for critique. So now I know not to waste away the first week laying on the couch, eating popcorn, and marathoning a season of Gossip Girl some manly tv show. Aside from that you probably already have a mental list of things you need to work on so just start hacking away at that list!

Anyway, it's great to have you here and I hope to see more from you soon. Cheers!

Aww, sorry about your dog :(
I dunno if this would be a good idea or a total bummer but if we had a Pet Memorial art jam thread, anyone who's had a pet pass away could get their pet drawn by other Voiders (tastefully of course). Then you'd have all kinds of nice art to remember your pet by. :)

Anyways, I really dig the colors and the direction this lil blue guy/gal/fur-thing is headed. Night animals are cool. Do these things ever get named?

Usually I rough everything on paper first, then scan and ink and color. I like a lot of what digital has to offer and I've been doing more of it this past year, but I get burnt out if I have to sit in front of a computer for too long. Ideally I'd like to do everything traditional except coloring.

spit spat, time to chat / Doing a Kickstarter...
« on: Nov 14, 2014, 04:11 PM »
So I'm doing a Kickstarter with my little brother, I'm doing most of the heavy lifting though so no worries about breaking no child labor laws or nuthin'! The design below will be printed on an American Apparel raglan. There's gonna be stickers and buttons too. No pressure to pledge anything, just share/spread the word where you can please! I should have extra stuff if this thing gets funded so if you share the link I'll totally throw a sticker or some buttons your way! Any help is greatly appreciated. And if you do happen to order something, drop me a message on this forum and I'll try and do a little sketch commission and send it with your package. :)

Oh shit, I just noticed the new stylings! Looks awesome dudes.

This looks pretty ....sweet.

Great jokes aside, if we submit a recipe will you need real pictures of the food or are we cool to draw everything?

Wrinkled-sweaty-dude-ass-to-ass was my jam. Now everytime I hear Lux Aeterna my dick shrivels.

25
You could try some other Aronofsky movies like Pi or Requiem for a Dream, dunno if you'd classify them as scary but Requiem will put you off of sweaty old dudes and ass-to-ass like nothing else.

Cult musicals always make me uncomfortable, even though the music is always great, try Repo! The Genetic Opera. Or maybe The Devil's Carnival. Or even Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

V/H/S was mentioned earlier. I recommend that one too. It's pretty damn awesome. Anyone seen 2? Is it as good as the first one? I have it queued up on netflix but I haven't had time to sit down and watch it.

Audition by Takashi Miike is worth looking into, it's foreign so I dunno how easy it is to find but it's also fairly popular so I bet you could find it on Amazon for dirt cheap.
