I just wanted to say welcome back!! I loved MalByte when she first showed up and now I love her even more. Your art is delightful. No complaints here, I'm excited to see more from you!

This is a fantastic re-focusing of MalBytes character that really opens her to a lot of new possibilities and involves an element to build stories off of. Small BB's are often a good way to jump-start a character back to life, and this one is no exception! I love the neon red palette, and the linework is hitting a perfect middle ground between smooth and rugged. For future entries, back in that virtual realm, I would highly recommend pushing the boundaries of the virtual space to make it look more vast and computerized, and more engaging. Good work!

These colors look great and the concept quantum processing threads is awesome and something I really want to use so great job for setting that up. The best story elements are ones others want to use in void.

I care her?
I'm eating up everything she's dishing out and making a to-go plate for my friends?
I'm jealous ? She rules!
legit critique though:
I can't believe you crammed so much meat into just three pages. it felt like 8! LOVED the aesthetic. the text maybe comes a little too close to the edges of the speech bubbles, but it'd rather it be nice and big and readable than look 'industry standard' anyway. maybe industry-standard is a little too geared towards 20/20 vision anyway. I love the character design and how you transition from her TV persona to her day life persona. I'm struggling with something like that right now. basically you've made what I wish i could make and I bow to you. orz

Hey y'all!!! Thank you so much for the sweet comments and I'm very happy to be back! (College and burnout got the best of me for a good bit!)
The goal of this comic was to give Malbyte a lil more context before she jumps into her next battle! (Which, if anyone is interested, hmu on discord!) I see how the last page is confusing though, Cydork and Elyan! It's def a cliffhanger, so hopefully it will be cleared up story-wise soon!

She’s back!! I was just thinking the other day what had happened to her! Visually this was a treat, I love your style and colours, plus Malbyte’s design is great. I’m not sure I get the point of this though? I agree with Elyan in that the last three panels confused me.

glad Byte is back! damn this is such an improvement. I am looking forward to your next work.
the last 3 panels were a little unclear to me. who´s she talking to and whats that about. I hope its just a cliffhanger and we get more intel on it next time

I must’ve been AWOL during last year’s invitational, but after catching up on Byte’s comics, I can say I’m excited to have you back, and this is your best looking work on the site yet. Your use of brushes with some grit to them is a big improvement over the sketchy digital style used in your previous comics, and the color work here is really cool, great palette. Those first three panels are my favorite.
I love the concept of a super hacker whose alter ego is almost a Luddite in a way.
Welcome back.
