THE INCUBATOR / Re: Karma's Charmas
« on: Dec 18, 2018, 03:25 PM »

I'm going for the record for longest time for a fighter to be stuck in the Incubator.
Updated refs plus thumbs. I currently have all my frames, word bubbles/dialogue and such done and I'm about %25 through sketching. Gonna be 4 long stretchy pages to give the full context for their cult.

Been on my mind ever since I realized what Conway's silhouette reminds me of without his hat. Fighting game character cosplays?

Maybe no semi-attempted murder this year from the conman. He's done enough to look bad.

If allowed to, I'd like to throw Conway back in the ring. He's a changed man after his two year stint in the big house, really! (and I'll hopefully have his comic where he gets out of prison up soon as I'm in the middle of inking that)

News & Events / Re: DISCUSSION: Tournaments of 2017
« on: Dec 07, 2016, 07:34 PM »
Stating my interest in:
- Original Character Tournament
- All Together Now
- Tag Death
- Toon Death Tournament
Lightspeed was super fun, but I'd like there to be at least one regular death tournament since I haven't gotten to pop into one of those yet.

And as a suggestion (which may have already been made, if it was I didn't see) an Artist Battle Tournament. Each round has some kind of prompt or theme or comic genre or even just a word to go off of, and people do whatever with it without using their Void characters.

Don't know if these are already over but I've got someone to try and enter!

He's got a lawyer to look into this 'debt to society' business, and he doesn't have political experience but he has business experience. That can apparently win you the presidency these days so why not the mayorship?

Ma and JC put together make an odd little southern bronze sheriff filled with soup.
Sketch by Cornbread, line and colored by me.

Ressurecting this thread for JC + Click.

Funeral March, sharp shooting reaper made from a velveteen rabbit toy. He's very show offy and quick to pull his gun over little problems.

THE INCUBATOR / Re: Karma's Charmas
« on: Sep 11, 2016, 03:43 PM »

I reworked Koolie and Venus and decided I'll be using them anyway, after I get more done with Judgement Call. They'll probably be my last characters to add (unless there's some death tourneys I just can't resist) and they'll be filling my spot for a not-dead villain. Big plans for them down the road hehe. But just poppin' this in here while I remember so it won't be too sudden when I eventually do their intro.

VOID Characters and Comics / Re: Challenges Thread
« on: Sep 10, 2016, 07:04 PM »
Trying to plan something ahead of time so I don't have to waste any of the Month of the Dead seeking out a battle, but would anyone want to do a two characters vs. two charactes battle in October? Any deadline above a week is good for me, and I'd prefer fighting at least one dead character since I want to use JC and Pud! Message me on Discord or shoot me an email or whatever if you wanna plan it.

I've played D&D 5e and I'm interested! But I'd also be interested in trying out other RPGs if groups form for them. Always wanted to try the WoD games or Chuubo.

Art Jams / Re: Species of Void
« on: Jul 25, 2016, 06:33 PM »

Species: Imps (daemon minoris)
Lifespan: ?
Height: Up to four and a half foot without magical inteference.
Diet: Meat, magical energy, and life force
Natural Habitat: The Netherworld Outlands

Imps have no secondary sex characteristics and don’t reproduce on their own, a new imp simply popping out of the “spawning pits” once in a while fully formed. They have been around as long as normal demons have so their origin is forgotten, but some legends say since a demon has no soul to pass on to the next life, when vanquished they will be reborn as an imp.

They are the minions of hell and relegated to the lowest societal status still above non-sentient creatures, and usually treated as servants or familiars for more powerful demons. Because imps absorb most energy thrown at them, they’re perfect for testing spells on and are a favorite of more experienced summoners in the mortal realm. Novice summoners are discouraged from using imps as, while the weakest form of demon, they can still be cunning and an imp in the moral realm with no master can quickly become dangerous once it has managed to collect a few souls. It is recommended that any imp that has grown past its natural stature be killed so it will revert to its normal form once it reappears in the netherworld.

Particularly troublesome imps may be fitted with curses or magic limiters to prevent them absorbing too much energy at once, since most demons would be reviled to have to deal with a fully fledged demon who was once an imp. If a demon or summoner favors a particular imp, they may mark them or give them some sort of gift to show they are under their power to prevent others from keeping them as longterm servants. Of course, there isn't anything the imp can do should someone choose to ignore this and summon them anyway.
