Kent: Love your inks, man. And I really enjoy the banter between these two, though it did take all of the suspense out of it. This was a good homage to oldschool superhero hijinks, but it ended up giving the same problem: We all know how this is gonna turn out, with Jane escaping alive and intact. Also, I think the panel arrangement could've been done better on the boob honk joke; I actually missed/skimmed over the honk panel the first time, so Jane's comment about it felt like it came out of nowhere. That said, I really love the panel layouts in some of the other pages; 5 and 7 especially were v nice. I've gotta remember to do more of the panel-within-panel stuff on those big slanty panels more, cuz it looks real cool.

Mister Kent: Heh, Evelin makes a good hammy movie villain, down to leaving the room to let the flunkies take out the super spy without watching herself. This was a fun read.
(Are... are they flirting? They are! Flirterers!)
Too bad it didn't work out, Buggy. Someday we'll see Evelin in action.

To Mister Kent(no preference):
-I really like the layout and panels on page 5, really feels like a movie on that page alone
-Page 6 has a pretty amusing lines of dialogue
-I like the expression Dr. Josef has in the last panel of Page 8! I think you nailed her emotions there without using extremes.
Critique:
-Well, I just don't like sexual themes in non-sexually-tagged in comics. Nothing new there. ^//^;
-On page 2 panel 2, I can't tell if Jane is doing a making a pleasure face or an annoyed face. Then, on the final panel of page 2, I feel like she would show more emotion than just an eyebrow change when feeling angry about a boob honk
-Both main characters' faces seem to have "same face syndrome" with only the fangs, ear tips and scar being different. It might help to talk with the other artist and find out what IRL-google-images-person the other character most resembles to help reference different face shapes.
-I like the conclusion and layout on page 9, but I feel like maybe a speech bubble was forgotten in the last panel? Something like "Oh, it's *on*, pretty face." perhaps?
---
To BuggyPumpkin:
Good luck next time! That sure sounds like one helluva stressful situation, I hope that it blows over soon and you get a good break.
Obligated default comment: Maybe try drawing a sketch of both characters next time and upload, so that if you don't get to work on the comic- or don't get to finish- at least the other person gets to see some fanart of their character in your style. :slight_smile:

Most entertaining comic I've read in the roulette so far. It's no easy feat to get me to chuckle (okay that was a lie but still great comic).

So sorry you weren't able to finish Evelin's side of the battle Buggy. But I understand life can really get in the way sometimes =/
Mr Kent - I love this old school western style of comic/hijinks and you're one of the artists here that gives me that nostalgic feeling esp since my main comic influence up to this date is from reading 90s Jim Lee/Kubert era of X-Men comics. I always look forward to your comics cos of this and this one def doesn't disappoint. Love the witty banter as well! Good job!

Felt like watching an episode of Batman with all the classic 60's superhero hijinks. You have a solid western artstyle and the humour was pretty good.

Mr Kent - I really like your comic for this! It's fun, quick, and I liked the comedy in it. Nice work!
BuggyPumpkin - I hope things get better! And I agree with Cy, I'd love to see what you had.

This seems to be an open and shut case of Classic Kent. Don't have any critique to give on this, it's just a fun, quick read that makes good use of the characters.

Mr Kent - This was great fun! It was nice and snappy, and I enjoyed the humour too. I feel like you managed to adapt Evelin to fit your tone of comics very well - she’s played more lightheartedly here but isn’t flanderised, imo. Can’t really think of any crit!
Buggy - Ah I’m sorry you got auto-defaulted I’d be interested in seeing your side anyway!

Sorry Buggy, but since your comic didn't show both characters, we had to default you. I hope work lets up so you can submit something next time!

I’d like to apologize for what can barely be called a comic. I’m starting to think Evelin is cursed, as every time I battle with her something prevents me from finishing. I started a new job recently, as well as an internship and even though I had planned on getting my thumbs/pencils done during the extension week, I ended up working 56+ hours, and sadly real life got in the way.
Thank you Mister Kent for being my partner in this battle and I apologize that I wasn’t able to deliver the comic I had hoped to.
