sincerely sorry Stefan, I have been VERY busy with doctors and lawyers and shifty insurance arseholes and there didn't seem to be much interest other than you and me in this

if you want to take a turn by all means go ahead......if anyone else goes after then great....if not when things slow down a bit more I will make the time to pick it up after you

by all means keep exploring and spitballing...that is what this section is for....and this community is an excellent opportunity for that.....somthing that you almost never get in real life

what it comes down to is you finding/creating a character you enjoy drawing and telling stories with...thats it really...Approvals wants to see your art ability sure but they are more concerned with what your comics are like then your actual character design(thats for your fellow Artists when you get in) and even after getting Approved you aren't neccesarily only constricted to doing comics with just that character there are Beyond Battles and Artist Matches as well.
http://entervoid.com/index.php?action=userguide

those roughs are a good start

one thing to consider is even when you have somthing you think might work.....draw it over and over again many many many times.....this will also shape and change your character design(and help you decide if it is somthing you actually like or enjoy or can practically draw in a comic story with a deadline)

very nice Stefan

I really like the linework a lot...and the slapdash colour actually makes this work even better as an image
great underlying shapes as well

so Gregly is up next......which means there are also spots open for anyone else that wants to jump in....remember Art Jams are open to all Members

Further disproportion between the fore and hind legs has developed as generations continue to dig and burrow both for food and shelter.
Individuals that were strong enough to dig deeper and defend themselves from predators have survived to bear offspring unto further generations.

The creatures diet has expanded to include large grubs, insects, invertabrates and small burrowing rodents as well as lizard like reptiles found about the plains and valleys of its domain. This required and allowed for greater size and development of more strength and speed; but they still fall prey to and fill the bellies of larger predators.

GO FOR BROKE! / Re: The Post That Hurts The Most
« on: Apr 11, 2015, 07:21 PM »
cosmomummy is a cool idea and the posture is fantastic but needs more aztec items maybe a bit more grit and dirt or stains on his space suit ....Miss Wu on the other hand is quite classy and I enjoy the overall body type and character-isms in her appearance(more beige in her stockings would pull in from brocade/cybernetics(I cant tell which) on her arms and hand and skin tones however)....maybe a little more contour in the tonework of the material of the dress to further accent her lovely curves

aaaannnd Ahmed completely forgot about this and has asked to be skipped having a comic to work on....so Rob you have four days starting on the 10th

always happy to see a lurker bite the bullet and start working on and showing some art themselves...and especially happy to hear that we can provide a pipeline of peer help and review to people who don't otherwise have access to it....that is a big part of what we are for and why I personally think this place is important.

buuuuut leave the back-story for 'Introduce Yourself' http://entervoid.com/index.php?topic=4936.0 ...show more art in art thread....and NEVER ask anyone on the internet to criticize your life

based on just what you have here.......I would take what appears to be a strong enough grasp on anatomy, gesture and underlying forms and focus on line quality, inking and backgrounds....maybe even just cleaning up your sketches and doing some finished drawings to start

and just cut loose and sketch/practice everyday or as much as possible as you already have planned

continue to post your work and if you want specific help, elaboration and even just basic comments from anyone past what you already receive.... just ask...people around here will give what help they can

4 'pages' is the maximum but you could also double stack your pages or submit 4 pages as your intro and then when and if you get in submit the remainder or even the full comic as a Beyond Battle

please properly size your images however...these last few images are far far too big...Standard Image size for Design Sheet and Intro is suggested to be 1000x1000 and 800x1000....there is no reason for sketches and thumbnails to be as big as you have them

you should also get in the habit of including script and balloons as part of the thumbnail process-they are just as much a part of the final visual....and slapping them on half-assedly at the end is almost always a bad idea
