Thank you everyone for your feedback and critique! Evi, I'd also like to thank you for putting up a hellova fight : D

@evi: You use my own palette better than I do! You're continuing to put out hilarious entries, and I can't wait to see you kill it in upcoming rounds! I agree with everyone else in saying that the bubble placement for A Z U K I is a bit odd in places, so figuring out who's saying what can be a bit confusing, but the panel layout works really well!

@Kozi: I actually agree! I wanted to cram more nuance into this story, but I wasn't able to figure out quite how to pace it with three pages. I lost to the format this time, but I'll work on tightening up storytelling!

@Jets, LeFred, ablob, everyone else in general: My technical skills have gone down the drain, and it shows. Time to hit the books again! Next time I show my face here, I'll have my stuff up to scratch!

TOFU- I'm not gonna lie (or maybe its the volume of critique delirum), but I didn't quite follow the story, if any? I dunno. I'm usually mondo into your comics and I love this character, but this comic fell a little flat for me.

EVI- This comic left me feeling much of the same, but in a surprisingly positive way?? XD I had no idea what was what, but the ride was so much fun I just left wondering why I was laughing so hard

Really love the way both of you re-interpreted the other's character in this. Really clever, nice work there to both of you.

TOFU: Some of the perspective in this makes the action a bit unclear - the shots are nice and exaggerated, but the execution was just lacking... In some cases it's a case of lacking depth, for instance the third last panel where Stephanie is leaning back from the railing. I love the nice touches of colour - if anything you could have pushed them more, like the alternate identity of Stephanie as Azuki could have been coloured similar to Rem making them on the same kind of weird level. The placement of that first bubble also made it seem like Azuki was singing that rather than Stephanie saying it - probably would have been better at the end of that row of panels. This story was still really well done though, and there's a really nice arc in there with Rem's involvement.

EVI: I'm a sucker for purple and pink colour schemes, this came up really great and I love the introduction of the blue as well. I kind of wish you'd had more time to fill some of the empty spaces/detail the blocks used for backgrounds in some of the panels but aaaah time restraints. Moreover - probably would have been good to give the anatomy on Stephanie slightly more care if only to properly differentiate her (and other humans) from the craziness of Azuki. I love the craziness of this and Azuki is hilarious.

Ayy thanks guys, glad you're finding my second round as crazy weird and enjoyable as I had working on it!

TOFUUUUUUUUUUU AAA I LOVED YOUR INTERPRETATION. The first opening line I was like "Azuki? Wait--OOOOOOOOHHHHH" the way you introduced them like that was really clever and in 3 pages I felt you made a good amount of tension building up to her death. Rem's outfit is even more adorable this round, and I love how she's portrayed as such a sweet and innocent character all the way through; the fact that she's is the only one in colour feels like a nice emphasis on that.

@Karma: Haha, Thanks! Great to see you're enjoying this crazy world I've managed to write Stephanie into.
As for the sound effects; anything with *action stars* were intentional bad choices and in her voice so... that is what I was going for HAHA but If you're talking about the stomping and tapping then yeeah I can totally see how it might end up looking that way... at the same time Azuki literally yelling out all her onomatopoeias is really not that out of character at this point LOL, so I guess this was a "happy accident"?

@Flutterbyes: Ahahah why would you want to draw such an abomination! Spend 90 percent effort on the eyes and then pretend your hand is drunk for everything else = how I draw Azuki haha. I do admit, it's fun. and I suppose they are having like a Void battle but without the deadlines and time crunch bc they only need to draw the character once... WHAT AN EASY LYFE.

@ablob: Thanks, Glad you found it entertaining! For the pallete I was inspired by Tofu's lovely teal and pink colours on Rem's last battle and worked with it from there :D

Tofu this was a good surprise, the way you handled Azuki is pretty clever. I like how REM is all clourful despite the rest of it, it just makes her seem even more artificial and disconnected from the reality around her, which you played off nicely in her interactions. The weak point here is perspective, the strong point is narrative. Enjoyable stuff.

Evi you're making something really weird and fantastic and hilarious here. That weaboo cop is just the best, I look forward to what you bring next.

Tofu: THAT IS SO SAD i love how you kinda did this so Azuki  is like her alter ego.

Evi: THE LEGS THE WINGS god I bloody love this hahaha it's so funny

Tofubeast- This story is almost the exact opposite of what I was expecting, and I really liked it. A super sparkly battle would have been cute, but this had more depth and you really made your opponent's characters your own by fully changing direction like that. I do agree Azuki's over the top-ness could have been utilized, but I still appreciate what you did there.

Evi- Azuki, ur so OP. This was another good one and like Tofu you made REM into your own thing and it turned out great. The police officer whipping out his own objecthead OC and then REM being in a permanent wink was great. If only she could have made it (That cop is a much better artist than preteen Steph). Someday Stephanie will be free of Anime Hell but not today. One thing you might want to look at though is changing how you do you sound effects, because they were done in the same style as REM's singing, making it look like Azuki cut off REM's song and started yelling onomatopoeia words, haha.

Tofubeast: Wow, that got dark! I like the visual storytelling here, and REM's color relationship with everything else. I can appreciate not going with the obvious, but I can't help but feel like leaving Azuki out and using Stephanie is something of a missed opportunity.
(Edit: WAIT I GOT IT. I consciously read your comic, saw Azuki and her name in the first panels, and mulled over it for a while before commenting the first time, and even THEN it took a while for the concept to really dawn on me. I think I'm fried from these deadlines. That's actually a really interesting idea!)

Evi: Flying side kick with arms behind back absolutely slayed me. This bad art character is brilliant. I want to draw her. I want to see everyone draw her. Are Stephanie and that officer essentially doing a VOID battle IRL?

Tofu - Fun take on the Azuki - Stephanie pair! Solid work all around, although you might want to work on your anatomy a little -- Stephanie looks slightly off in some of the shots. The use of spot color is very nice.

Evi - one of these days you will run out of new jokes to use for this character but TODAY IS NOT THE DAY. I look forward to how much new stuff you can milk out of Azuki. Also your color palette is A+ amazing.
