i would just like to say, dont listen to phil! don bluth is a crappy animator and an asshole. they show his work at my school to show what not to do!
for art books i would say i grew up looking at michael kalutas art books. i would recomend a look, he has been an illustrator for a long time and is one of the nicest guys in the comic industry. here is his site http://www.kaluta.com/
