Jo Riot? Jo MAMA!
OLOLOL

I like the green hair. And for weapons? How about a pair of large katars?

I like this design lots! Definitely has that "gang" look about her too!

Woo little shop of horrors!

Also it's good to hear you got back to art. Do you still have nerve damage? I'm recovering from an injury+surgery myself, but luckily it wasn't my right hand.

Naw. I worked through the damage through some physical therapy and MASSIVE AMOUNTS of patience by drawing every friggin' day no matter how frustrating it was.

I went from that

to this

Those hands are anything but crappy.  Your left handed I'm guessing? Since I notice most of those drawn hands are right hands. At least all of the single ones.

I'm glad you continued to draw after the accident.  If you love something enough you just gotta do it, right?

I really enjoy the movement in the bodies you draw.

Actually, I'm right handed!
That's a good challenge to work at the hand you draw with and thank you! = D

And Angie? I'll work at a cel-shading method with my next coloring project! Thank you!

Since I can't really work on my battle until a bit later today. (Important doctor visit soon.)
Here's some more sketches.

Hey look. A Luna.

A comic page I never bothered finishing.

A poorly drawn horse/unicorn sketch for a school assignment:

Chimaera school assignment:

One of my first sketches with my Cintiq! Penelo!

Please know what this is from... One of my all time favorite movies.

BUNNIES

Now even though this is crappy. I'll share it anyway. Hands! (I started these a year after I gave up on drawing because of nerve damage after a terrible car accident. I haven't stopped drawing since!  ;D )

And I'll end this post with a comic page I happen to like.

(That comic battle can be found here: http://www.warforarcadia.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1034&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 -- Airlight, Qyzex and Orange were my opponents! Are you here too, ronin?)

Can't say I have ever inked traditionally. I have tried but my hand shakes a bit too much for that. THE PRESSURE.

LESS TALK.
MORE ART.

okay.

Below is probably going to be a lot of sketch work. But before that. Have some Ridley.

My first ever concept of Ridley with horns and stuff.

Top left: Ridley before I gave her her... um.. assets.

And now. Some random scribblings.

I think that should do for now... I have a lot of sketches.

Reviews / Re: So what comics are you reading?
« on: Aug 14, 2010, 10:18 PM »
Hrm.
Aside from re-reading Scott Pilgrim after the movie and enjoying the video game...
I'm reading Jeff Smith's Bone series.
I recall reading some of this when I was younger. But I'm REALLY getting into it now.
I have a few books in color and some in their original format. I enjoy both formats.

The Mouseguard series. By David Petersen.

Amazing inks and color in here aside from the interesting story. David sometimes live streams when he works on stuff.
I wish I could be as detailed as this.

To me, Void is a magical and far away place where the sun is always shining and the air smells like warm root beer and the towels are oh-so-fluffy! Where the shriners and the lepers play their ukuleles all day long. And anyone on the street will gladly shave your back for a nickel!

Ah, Void.

I'm sure you'll come up with something. I searched google for varachian because I had no idea what exactly one is. I still don't think I know much more about them, but I did get to see what appears to be a previous Ridley story. Intriguing.

While back story is interesting and all, I don't think it's really necessary for the battle.  While Varachian is some sort of race that Ridley's author came up with and probably has some deep backstory the profile says to pretty much treat it like a demon.  you know talks like a demon, walks like a demon, clucks like a demon etc.  So I wouldn't overthink it.

Ouch. Excuse me for taking an interest. I was just pointing out something that I came across that I thought was neat, I didn't know I was going to be shot down for a suggestion I didn't even make. Hot damn!

Woah guys.. don't fight over this. I didn't want to include anything too complicated with Ridley. So demon chick that voids magic is fine.
If you have any questions.. or if you are curious to find out more. PM me or something. No use using this thread for it.

I just picked up an Ames lettering tool and some new Micron pens. Who's ready? I'm ready.

= D !!
Glad you got Ames! It does help! Good luck, bromigo!

Yeah, I'm trying to practice with it now, before I do any actual penciling. It's tricky, but I feel like this'll be worth my time and money. My major problem right now is that my mechanical pencil lead keeps breaking off each line- is my technique wrong, or is this just inevitable?

I think it just depends on how you hold your pencil. It took me awhile to get the hang of it myself.
You'll get it!

I don't have the slightest idea how I'm gonna work my opponent into a story.
I'm gonna have to get creative here.

What William said. She's sort of a demon chick. That's all I think I want to have here sooo run with it! = D
I sent you a PM earlier on the main site. Feel free to reach me here, there, or AIM if you have any questions or whatnot.
