my opinion on this is pretty simple. try to get good with a hard edged pen/brush with only width sensitivity if at all. no anti aliasing.
scale the resolution high up 300 so you dont get frustrated with visible pixels in 100% view. this is pretty close to a traditional ink material (if you dont include washes or fading techniques but only pen or brush styles)

having THE fitting inking brush for you is something that will probably never be the case cause it always depends on the usage and taste (it might be just my thought that the tools are secondary). if you find something like that it will be a process that might need time instead of research.
but inking in itself is very straightforward and often depends more on line thickness and line variety in comparision with canvas scale to define form and clear readability.
what i saw from you was clearly a good attempt but you dont have too much controll over your lining yet. how to define form with B/W is something that needs experience.

decide on a ink/pen brush and practice with it. though if you like a specific brush for whatever reason stick with it and practice till you get good results. just dont give up.

in time you will feel like its time to move on but get results first.

A event like this would be ace. Also I would appreciate to have some story context the characters could be throughn into. an over arching event that triggers the confrontation... like an necromancer apearancance that turns every undead in the perimeter hostile or something like that. maybe something nonviolent i cant think of right now....

in anycase i like the setup...

undeads are to me pretty much everything that got killed or died but are alive nonetheless by whatever means including some species of vampires (pointing that out cause some lore doesnt involve the former human to die and its more of a metamorphosis).
shifters are living beings that havent been dead ever xD. with the ability to shift forms.

i remember that one... also i´m not sure thats a very sensitive idea to pull off.

you know what would be nice? having a sort of compilation of quick made original character ideas from you.
I´m just curious what might be in there aside from eggs.

its clear you are putting in effort to this. the right window wall does look a little eery btw like the room isnt exactly rectangular but given it might be some creative architecture it would work.
btw do you have plans to entering another character than eggdealer at some point?

Dairyu is an interesting design for sure.
Art looks very good and polished. good luck with your Pages. you are definetely doing this properly :)

what i miss so far is a little background over her place in the world, motivation for actions and personality.

another thing is the second image with red hair. i feel like this is kind of a dynamic of her powers but right now assuming she´s purely air based i´m just confused what that is.

In any case keep going this is looking absulutely swell.

hey Flutter the design is totally ok cause he just looks like a real guy. And thats really good!

Differentiating him will have to be done more than usual through characterization and interaction but that also is good.
I say dont worry so much about his design and give him some action.

very interesting concept... vampire mantis.... so he is basically an undead right.

It might help to sketch out some sketch pages and see how he will behave.
bringing him to action might make things clearer.
i would love to see some content besides his reference sketches

so i have been drawing on and off since the lsdt even though to date no finished comic came to fruit.
but as i stated in the previous post i´ll update with what i have so far to keep track for myself and those interested.
i´m trying to get stuff done asap hopefully within 2016 even though i doubt it.
major hindrance is right now designing little monster critters for a collaboration roflqu was kind enough to aggree on.

i made a tumblr post to summarize everything to date

got it back and i´m glad to hear you are in a way better situation now. though i hope neither you nor another one of void ever needs any financial backup i sure am willing to support :)

reading this i feel like most aspects on the topic are already covered.

there is no one true opinion. everybody has a point and the right to act on it as long as it is in within VOIDs rules.
i also dont think this is about anybody should change their opinion but instead consider and respect all the other opinions stated. broaden your horizon and keep doing what is important to you.
(which for me isnt comic making most of the time, thus my record :) but therefore shipping is a fun and easy way to stay in touch/interactive even if i dont get around making comics )

What you tell is interesting and the vague scetch is too -boobs.... Boooo..... Yeah - but seriously give us more visual content and show her quirky attitude and this might be certainly interesting... I guess this is space themed? Than i need to hurry up and get my own guy into void
