This was great,  Kaleo has an excellent design, I'm a fan. I also like that you've tied distinct locations to him.

My impression of Kaleo from this comic is that he's the, level-headed, mum friend? I'm not sure if thats right after reading his ref and bio!
Regardless, I enjoyed this and I'm curious about the dynamic between these two characters.

Art is great and looks Kaleo looks like an interesting character. The others are right in pointing out though that it doesn't show much about him. I ended up being more interested in finding out what is going on with Holden and how Lilyfeather is going to react to this. ^^

However,  I do like how you showed off his transformations and where he lives. I hope to see more from him!

The art here is really great, beautifully rendered backgrounds and a really pleasant palette. All I'll say is you should try pushing the shadows on your figures, the values between light and shadow are so minimal that they look like flats.

congrats on getting him in, his design is great. I love your colors and the painterly backgrounds here. My only crit is putting Holden in pure black flattens his body and doesn't show the forms. On the final panel the little green lines between his arms help and something like that would have helped panels like the one right before where Holden's body becomes one shape and it loses some of the body language.  I'm interesting to see how you go with the story for these two.

Is Kaleo anything like Captain Planet?

After seeing him evolve as a side character in holden's comics i am SO happy to see Kal get his own character slot now! I don't mind that Holden was in it since they clearly have a rich history. The fact that you bothered to do an intro at all when you could have just battle passed the character is already praiseworthy.
and speaking of praiseworthy, THOSE BACKGROUNDS!!! THAT CABIN!!! youre art is so POWERFUL, if you had enough time, you could rule this site hehe.

I have to agree with Cy. This intro doesn't really show off who Kaleo is other than that he has a relationship with Holden, so it reads less as an intro comic and more like a post credits stinger or a teaser to end an episode with. Seen as that sort of scene, though, it's a nice way to introduce a character like this. I like his transformation as he steps out of the water, and the way his personality is maintained throughout.

I’ve been staring at the backgrounds and scenery in this, they’re just lovely. The misty effect on the trees and water look very nice, and the little cabin! That wood detail! It’s cool seeing something so polished looking from you and this new character is visually very interesting.

As an intro comic though I don’t think this works. We don’t really learn much about Kaleo - the focus is mainly on Holden. The story also seems to finish before it’s even started. If you have four pages available for an intro, you don’t have to leave us with a “to be continued”, take the opportunity show more about this new character!
