Here's a fun fact: apparently I missed a page while uploading (it's between page 9 and 10).
And yeah, last week I got sprung with an unexpected trip to countryside, so drawing become
rather chaotic with the lack of alone time. (that and the rats. huge fucking rats everywhere)

TDK - this felt really really rushed and was kinda confusing. You have some cool action panels though near the end.
Will - I wish you could have finished this because you get off to a great start. Also babies.

Uploaded. And I'm sorry. I don't have a good excuse. I could not concentrate on this as much as I wanted to.

Besides that, I like the design of Subjects body, and many of her poses had nice action in them near the end.
THE DUEL- Dude, if I see you post on facebook again asking for people to play Words with Friends while you have a comic to draw I'm going go Wei all over you. After seeing the first couple pages I feel like I got robbed. Reading your comics and seeing your work get more and more solid is amazing. You inspire me to work hard and keeping grinding it out dude.
To the real crit though: If you're going to try traditional media, you might want to use some better materials. Maybe you are using okay stuff and I just suck at appraisal, but I don't like how this paper takes the wash. The granulation and unevenness of the tone reminds of the time I tried to use watercolor on a really crappy sheet of bristol.
When you do a wash, don't be afraid of going right up the edges of objects. In almost every spot where you had to bring background tones near a foreground character, you got really tentative near the edges and ended up with a lot of white glows.
I don't have anything against mixing digital and traditional, but the way you did it here doesn't mesh at all. The borders, text and boxes are all jarring. I suck pretty hard at this too, so I can't really suggest a solution confidently.
On writing, Subject's voice is inconsistent. Early on you establish her as robotic in tone, with slightly educated word choices. However you drop this for a more average manner of speaking in only a few pages. In one sentence, you even tried to establish a robotic speech mannerism in which subject stated the purpose of a line before vocalizing it. However you abandon the idea the very next line, and you hadn't used the mannerism in the previous lines.
In many places, your shapes and shadows have a surprising amount of strength and depth to them. The way the shadows wrap around the metal is done really well. The contrast between Subjects heavy, highly rendered robot body and her face really fits the character. You're stuff reminds me a lot of the dude who does claymore, but with bolder lines and light.
I can't wait to see the next batch of stuff you come up with Will, I'm seriously excited whenever I see you in a fight.
