« on: Jan 18, 2017, 12:36 PM »She looks like she's going to be a fun character. That said, I'm having a little trouble telling what it is you want the core conflict for this character to be. Unless you're going full Kishōtenketsu with this, conflict is a nice thing to have. Nice job, hobbies, gets along well with others, all good traits, but I want to know what hardships this girl is dealing with, even if it's just little things. You mention she'll fight and hold grudges, but you make it seem like a last resort. Which is fine, but it makes me confused, do you want her to get into fights, or stay away from them?
Hi, Q-Bit! Thanks for the feedback and advice. Although I have her design and personality pretty much down, she's still kinda rough on a lot of her story. In fact, one of the main reasons I'm looking to work with her here on Void is that I scrapped most of her original story because of... The exact problems you found. I figured throwing her into a situation where she has to fight would be a good way to see where the emotional conflict lies. I definitely want her to get into fights. Whether she'll have to be dragged into them kicking and screaming is a different matter entirely. I'm sure Lida's going to go through quite a few changes in the writing department. Thank you so much, again, for your input. It's great to have more things to think about!

Hi! I'm Mercy. I'm new here and working on my first uploaded character. I cannot currently use my tablet, so I'm stuck with traditional sketches and trackpad coloring at the moment. I'mma wait to do my official design sheets and comics until this is fixed, but-- Here's what I can do anyway. Please feel free to offer feedback!
This is Lida. She's your average millennial, urbanite, witch. She lives in a small apartment that is overgrown with plants, and she enjoys cooking, antiquing, blogging, and fine coffee. She's an all around pretty fun individual, and she works at a small boutique downtown, where she weaves enchantments of all sorts into her merchandise. Lida is incredibly social, and she at least tries to see the good in everyone she meets. That... Doesn't mean she won't get angry or fight like hell, and that doesn't mean she can't and won't hold a grudge for a long, long time.

Hi! I'm Mercy. I'm an eighteen year old writer/visual artist. I'm in my senior year of high school and studying at a boarding school arts academy. I major in creative writing, at school, so at this point in my life I identify primarily as a writer. I've had one project funded on Kickstarter and published, and I've spoken at multiple community readings, as well as individual events. That being said, I draw compulsively, and I've finally gotten to a level where I really feel comfortable sharing and promoting my artwork. So that's cool! I can't wait to get to know people, and I can't wait to see some great work.
