Omg AtomicFish, at first I was like, why does ToroJoe look like Jesus from The Big Lebowski, and then "OVER THE LINE!" Perfect XD

Gibbo: It would be interesting to see what Andy could have down with that gun XD

AtomicFish:  I am flattered at the inclusion of Joey Toro and your perfectly captured essence of his machismo. The Lebowski homage is good right up to Azelle pulling the gun- but I suppose its within the bounds of her character. You've got another nice diary entry story here- the germaphobia bit was especially relatable. That bowling pin! I CANNOT STOP STARING AT ITS SMART MOUTHED LITTLE SMIRK- the THE CRINGE- the THE PLAYING DEAD. STROKE OF GENIUS!  I love the deadpan expressions on Mammon and Andy's reunion panel. There are many successes in your expressions thanks to your charming style. Despite being pretty simple and clean some of the panel borders seem to bleed or the blacks dominate the page. Overall another great Andy Heller comic.

Gibbo: You have a format you're following that clearly works for you- I know your process is arduous but you could afford to pack more story into your five pages. They feel like snippet commercials for a battle, rather than a story. Your characters are improving and becoming less mechanical, your backgrounds feel less static as well. Azelle's quest to find a place to belong and make a friend seems to have been a success finally, I'm intrigued to see where you take her next. Deeper I hope.

I like your comic, Atomic, but I agree that maybe you went a bit overboard with the Big Lebowski references. Seeing Toro Joe licking the bowling ball like the Jesus was funny.

Gibbo your comics are getting better, but the comic probably should have continued from the end (as has been said already)

Really good job, Atomic! You got my vote for having a clear and coherent plot throughout the comic. Like Hats said, try and experiment with different styles. I think your art can really go places, and you can only keep improving. Keep it up, gurl-friend.

Gibbo I still liked yours. While I gave Atomic a bit of a higher score, your figures looked a bit less robotic this time around. The ending seemed slightly abrupt though. That was my biggest gripe. Still, good on ya man. Keep on keepin'

Gibbo:  Aw thanks, Gibbo! I was afraid I wouldn't do Azelle justice. I liked your comic as well, especially the part about both of them getting rejection letters from the tournament, but having no idea that they were even in a tourney. And Andy learning to shoot, brings together Fed's picture of gun welding Andy. Ha, maybe the next time I use Andy, she and Azelle can shoot down a bunch of face eating Zombies? >:D

Video320: Thank you! I wanted to show all of their talents (and Andy's lack of) when it comes to bowling. And I was hoping you'd notice the little plush Jules. :) I actually wouldn't mind a little Boxo on my couch.

Fed: I know, I know.  I didn't mean to rip anyone off, but I had no idea how to end this thing, so my best solution was to have Azelle attempt to shoot someone. Thank you for pointing out that thing about Otis, too. I notice that I tend to overlook him as a character.

Hats: This is an interesting observation, and you make a good point. Something I never noticed is that I don't draw men very often. It's something that I'm defiantly going to pay more attention to in future drawings.

Thank you a lot for your feedback, everyone! It's all very helpful!

Well that's one way of dropping in unexpectedly!

This was awesome Atomic - vibrant colours, nice big expressions, fun story and a heck-of-a-lot of pages! Your characterisation of Azelle was right on the money, including cheating at bowling just to get ahead. I love that she's starting a trend of getting kicked out of places for rowdy behaviour (referring to ninemafia's Bhindi comic)

This one's definitely yours to win. Thanks for the battle, I really enjoyed working with your characters!  :D

Hats: Yeah I'd originally planned a longer story but realised half-way through that I would run out of time so changed it to Andy wanting to learn how to protect herself in this crazy city. Agreed on the body-types, weirdly though with all the battles I've had it's been against female characters with roughly the same proportions as Azelle, should've countered that though with some varied background characters.

Fed: Weird one man, great minds and all that eh! Darn you're right, starting at the end definitely would've worked better.

Video: Spot on, was hoping to get as far as shading but ended up having to just stick with flat colours.

Atomicfish - That was fun. Friend making and silly hi jinx. Your art is really improving. Shading is looking good. Also, I really enjoyed the way you showcased every character. Giving them each a nice chunk of limelight. Nice!
p.s The doll version of Jules and the others Made me laugh, I want one now.

Gibbo - Your backgrounds are lookin' nice. Maybe its a time limit thing. but i wish you'd throw a little shading in those backgrounds. getting a loser note seems pretty depressing. Seeing Andy with a gun was hilarious by the way.

Atomic: Sweet little comic, Andy lends herself really good to these kind of stories - My only issue was the "Big Lebowski" references. The first nod to the movie was cute and subtle, the other was overblown and "in your face". As awesome as the movie is, it's just not worth "ripping off" :) But as a resolution, it does work great! I like the "Otis ate three bowls of nachos" line.. It builds up the dogs personality abit aswell.

Gibbo: Oooh, spooky.. I have psychic powers!! Sweet story, altough I feel it would have benefited more from "starting at the end", so we could see Azelle teaching Andy how to use guns and then go from there.

Artwise I have the same gripes as Hats - but altogether it's a good effort from both of you, and I'd love to see more!!

Atomic: adorable as always! It's great to see that Andy is making friends, and I liked bowling idea. Bright, colourful and cheery. Fantastic. My only real problem with your comic is that, though your faces are somewhat varied, try working on varied figures - for even the men in this comic has similar figures to the ladies.

Gibbo: Also cute, but I found the story a bit confusing, wait what and then suddenly Andy wanted to know how to shoot a gun, personally I found that a litttlleee out of character for someone so timid (but there was that picture Fed drew that says otherwise haha). Just like I said to Atomic, look up and vary figures and body types!

Welp, it's comin' up on 04h00 this side of the world so I pulled another all-nighter, but happy with the results, and everything's uploaded. :)

Next time I've gotta go with a 4 week deadline, still ran outta time here on getting to things like shading, final touches etc.

Also lookin' forward to yours Atomic!

All uploaded, sorry for any spelling mistakes and those shaky lines. I'm never drawing panel lines by hand again...
I'm looking forward to your entry, Gibbo!
