Yoshiko shrugged and took a glass too.

"Fineeeee~ But th'Honeywine better be sweet as th'name implies."

She stuck her tongue out and muttered something repulsive about a beverage called the Sunshine Cloud.

77
"S'better be'good a payout, love. Could'bmakin' big auctionin' tis scrap off now."

A magical painting to a maze huh. If that were true, has it been used before? And why a painting of this caliber and subject matter? Such things would affect how much benefit there is to selling it off sooner than later. Like that one time she was in possession of a rather suspicious sword.

Yoshiko placed the painting back down and lounged into a more comfortable position.

"Y'got some milk n'stead? Drinkin'snot f'before th'job."

Character Bio too:

Yoshiko(no surname), who goes by the alias LUCKY LUCY, was poached as a youngling by a certain Syndicate. It did not look good for the young tabaxi-hybrid. She would have been sold of as a slave or skinned illegally for her tabaxi parts.

So when the chance came, she fled.

Since then, strange rumors have spread. Some say their gold simply flew away in a blur of glimmer, never to be seen again. Others speak of a cat-eared seller of fine goods found nowhere else, one LUCKY LUCY,  appears and disappears from time to time, carrying new things every time. Few speak of a gambler who comes in and wins big before never being seen again.

Either way, she'sa cute an' speaks wi'tn accent of'a sort~

79
Yoshiko held up the painting, looking at it from every angle, tilting its surface against the light, trying to see scratches or traces of old paintings or sketches underneath in an attempt to ascertain its true value.

After all, that painting looked horrible. Absolute crudeness. Portraying lewdness without any inkling of artistry. Like pornographic graffiti drawn by a hobo.

"So, Benjamin M'lad? Whass'th' snitch wit' tis? Ah' poach'd it no problem, s'like pickin' an apple off th'ground. S'really worth that much, love?"

•   Where was the False Chanterelle kept? How did you infiltrate?
•   What’s the most bizarre thing you’ve sold at market? The most illegal?

The False Chanterelle was cept in a Mansion, one owned by a wealthy art collector who is a complete shitter and didn't know the true value of the False Chanterelle. Hence, the False Chanterelle was kept in a simple room with little security together with a bunch of other low value paintings that could be sold off at more... lucrative prices without being missed. So, simply put, through sheer luck, Yoshiko broke and entered through a window and just swiped a few of these paintings without effort, taking with her The False Chanterelle.

When not secretly swiping goods that won't be missed, Yoshiko goes by Lucy of Lucky Lucy's Golden Wares. Here she sells all sorts of goods she acquired through many means. The strangest thing she sold off was a bodysuit of questionable taste that she advertised as a POWER MUSCLESUIT, enhancing the wearer's physical prowess. The most illegal good she has sold off is a sword, one that was likely important evidence of a controversial murder that probably also carried a curse.

Mostly agree with what sabu said. Also kinda neutral-but-sorta-in-favor regarding a distinct rule that Red mentioned could be implemented. It might require a trial period to see if it can help or not.

Also, a PSA: Cancelling battles is still a thing. If you really don't feel like you can do your comic, or if sudden stuff happens that ruined everything, and it's still a fair amount of time to that deadline, do let your opponent know of the situation so that you two can drop it and save yourselves some work and bad vibes.

WHOOPS MY HAND SLIPPED

83
Oh wow your reply came in as I was typing my reply lol.

That said like consider the art jam ships as like stress relief/fun/supplementary material that you can choose to ignore or accept. Most of the people I see involved in this do churn out some cool comics anyway so I really don't see a big issue.

That said I do acknowledge that this can be a personal peeve nana, and I can only suggest tolerance. It's good that you brought it up as a peeve of yours tho, so at least now we know. :D

Also like isn't shipping happening in actual comics nowadays?

84
Why not both?

Minori, the Sorceress of the East

A mysterious one that lives the misty forests of the east. Those that venture to her realm often report ghosts sightings, or dopplegangers, usually prompting them to flee for their lives. All this, however, are illusions and shadows, brought forth by the Sorceress, who merely wants to live a quiet life.

Of course, there be the prophecy of a hero who would venture into her realm, vanquish her shadows and make her heart go yonder. Legend has it that when the prophecy comes true, the forest would bloom and bear plentiful fruit.

Ever since the previous Goddess of Heroic Journeys went and retired with her large harem of heroes  centuries ago, the fate of the world is left to the whims of the gods with no hero to save the day.

Now with the rise of the new goddess of chaos and the upcoming Ragnarock, the world demands a hero to save them all. Now, the new Goddess of Heroic Journeys, Monomythica, has stepped forth in search of a hero of destiny, that she may bless and guide through his/her journey.

Message intercepted from an unknown location-

"The streets are in chaos, and the authorities incompetent. There needs to be a purge, a cleansing of fire. And from the ashes a new rule shall rise.

Come heathens, and rally under me! We will trample all that oppose us and establish a New Order!" - Magnolia Steward
