Deadlines are rough- especially when you're new to the tournament deal, so don't be disheartened with round 2- tournaments ain't easy! Always glad to see unfinished work as opposed to no work at all, so kudos to you both!

I would normally separate these critiques, but you two shared similar drawbacks. There wasn't much polish to these comics (due to time constraints of course), but also I was having a time with the legibility on both sides. I liked the momentum of events Kizuato had going, but I found it harder and harder to follow the smaller the text got panel, to panel. Don't be afraid to let your scenes breathe and dedicate page to only four of five panels. That first page alone could've been a great establishing shot of the junkyard but you rammed it into such a small square.

Tirie, you definitely took full advantage of the space by making your panels big and building that suspense with intense blacks and shadows on your first page, but where I struggled was there you ran outta time and yourp ages turned pencil.

Kizuato:  Pff. Happy sun :D. You're getting there with visibility. You're also varying the line weight a little, which is good. I think you can work on that some more.

Tirie, you have the beginnings of some really cool inks there (too bad you couldn't get to doing more!), but those images... They're photos, aren't they? I guess you weren't able to get to a scanner in time or get good lighting for your photos? You know, the mobile versions of Medibang Paint have tools for processing photographed artwork. Maybe look into that if your phone can handle it.

Kizuato - I'd love to see you ink your next comic. It will definitely make it pop and draw more attention to details. I also wanna see a couple more interesting perspectives and fun backgrounds. Also, putting some negative space between your panels will help from keeping your comic jumbled up and busy! Good work and I can't wait to read more!

Tirie - It's a shame you couldn't finish this, but I love the tradition work! I hope to see more from you in the future!

Hmm both of these are fairly incomplete-looking and had some serious scanning issues. If you need assistance getting your scans to look better don't hesitate to ask any of us, even us full-digital artists have had to work with scanning back in the day so we know a thing or two about the right settings and polishing needed to get your lines looking nicer.

Don't give up, try again!

Pretty good, it's a shame you couldn't finish it. I'm glad you remembered Tod covers his face like that, though I doubt he would go after someone without being provoked...
