View Hanbei Ichizaku's full Comic Archive

Ichizaku Hanbei was the greatest swordsmith in the land during Japan\'s Edo Era. Also a swordsman of remarkable calibur, \"Twelve Blades\" Hanbei, as he was called, earned his renown as a wandering ronin wielding twelve swords who crafted weapons so fatal that Japan\'s mightiest warriors would see to owning an Ichizaku-made weapon. Some claim that Hanbei once made swords for the entire Yagyu clan, others say that Miyamoto Musashi\'s first sword was an Ichizaku-ken. Once the Tokugawa Shogunate had been established, however, Hanbei took leave from society and made home in an isolated mountain to craft what would be his most legendary works.

Twenty years later, Hanbei completes his twelve masterpieces. Now in old age, Hanbei now wanders the land, in search of a warrior worthy to inherit his twelve masterpieces.
