Boom is too adorable in this. His expressions, mannerisms and way he interacts with the gas mask intruder had me turning the pages in earnest to see how all this would play out. you have a great loose style that almost feels like you're working with a thick traditional brush as opposed to your usual digital medium, which is no mean feat. Definitely something I could totally see in an anthology (or hopefully Blackstripe!).

Nice work!

The lines and action were pretty clear and everything flowed very nicely. At times the hatching looked a little too rough, only in the first pages though. It'd be nice to see you experiment with some tones next time you work in this stile I think you could do some really neat effects with the explosions.

Great job over all, I really hope to see more comics from you~

This is greatness! It may have been for a school anthology, but it definitely works as a Jimmy standalone story. The humor is great, especially your strategic use of wiggly anatomy on the thief on page 4 and Jimmy on page 5. Also, Dr. Boom continues to be the best dad ever. As has been pointed out, the panels do get busy at some points (particularly during the battle), but I never had any real difficulty understanding what was going on. Seriously solid stuff, sir!

I voted but I wanted to make sure that I came back and left a comment (part of my new years resolution is to get back into the feedback community). Great work Kinu! Once again you showcase the impressive nack you have for good pacing between your panels, your line-weights between characters and the background also ensured that they didn't get lost too much amid the details of the laboratory or the house which was good as well.

Though you obviously really take to hatching and cross hatching to provide some texture and movement in a lot of scenes, I think for a comic like this that is just black and white with not shading toning or color, you can achieve a more dynamic feel by making some of those hatched areas flat spot blacks to stiffen up the composition from page to page. Now this is more of a nitpick really cause its not something that would make/break the comic but I think its something worth considering.

Overall the dialogue and comedy was a solid success and it was an easy and smooth read! Keep up the good work!

wow what a good comic! I've never read a jimmy boom comic before (only just catching up recently) but I love him from this alone. your inking is super solid as well! I like your hatching, but I have to wonder if maybe more solid black areas would make things more.. readable? less.. busy? not to say it isn't readable.. I don't think these are very good words for what I'm trying to convey, but hopefully my meaning is getting through :c ANYWAY I REALLY LIKE IT!

Thanks guys! It warms my heart to see everyone missed this chump haha. Tinman, I will definitely keep what you said in mind. I do admit some panels are a bit busy. Clarity is my highest objective, so I will struggle for that in my next entry.

Oh! And, in case anybody was wondering, I figure I should let you know about this comic.

It was done for an anthology at my school. We were all given one character to share in our entries (The thief guy) and his whole deal was that he travels into different dimensions (Our character's universes) but eventually gets more than he bargained for. I was tasked with introducing the guy, so that's why he was so prominent. Eventually he loses control and can't stop switching universes. This is ultimately why the "decoy" ploy was used. Because with the real gun, you have full control over the dimension switching. The rest of the anthology entries went further into this guy's demise. Only TK would know any of this, so if the rest of you were confused it's perfectly understandable. And if I lost points because of it, that's understandable since this was only a piece of the whole story haha. I should have made that clearer.

Not to worry though, since I already wrote a way to fit this into my VOID canon. So, the unanswered questions will be presented in my next Jimmy battle. Just thought I should let you all know that I'm halfway decent at writing xD

Good clean plot progression, cause and effect- he leaves the window open, reason for it established, crimewave is on the news- it all ties save for the Portal Gun being a dud. I suppose it just opened a gateway one-way-ticket to a prison or a Furry Club though- Doc Boom knows what he's doing. I love your brush flourishes and explosive effects, sounds are especially good but all those elements in one panel detracts from some elements, draws the eye where it need not wander, rather than directing it with your solid blacks or whites. Leaving some thread untied means we'll hopefully be seein more of the masked man's client in future installments- I look forward to them.

I have nothing bad and everything good to say about this comic. Actually, I have nothing good to say either, because it all goes without saying.

You done good, son!

AWWW YEAH NEW BOOM COMIC.

I'm really liking the linework you did here, especially on the page where Jimmy's hitting the gasmask guy with an overhead hammerblow on the third panel of page six. Your sound effects are really well integrated into your overall composition, too. Good to see the Boom back in action!
