"No. 5" Volume 2 by Taiyo Matsumoto. I'm dissapointed this is the only translated volume, because I thought it was pretty interesting and I liked his art like always. I wish more of his stuff would be translated


"Batman: Year 100" by Paul Pope. I really like the art and the way he makes Gotham look and feel in it. I also like the little gadgets Batman uses like the teeth to scare people


I've been getting into Akira lately, I love Katsuhiro Otomo's work, he's a master storyteller and really an inspirational fellow.


Also, "Blue Spring" another manga by Taiyo Matsumoto. Not too far into it with all the comics I have, but the art isn't as good as No. 5 or Tekkon Kinkreets in my opinion. But anything by Matsumoto just totally owns.

Never really introduced myself. You can call me Ronin, I'm 16 years old and I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I hope to draw for a living; I would like to do comics, illustrating, animation, concept artist, etc. for a living. My favorite comics are Tekkon Kinkreet, Hellboy, and anything here on Void. Favorite movies would have to be Tekkon Kinkreet, Sword of the Stranger, and anything by Ghibli. My favorite shows are Scrubs, Kenny vs. Spenny, FLCL, and Gurren Lagann. Favorite music is Eve 6, David Bowie, Gorillaz, and The Shins. Hopefully Ill make some kickass comics while Im here and make some new friends and hopefully learn a thing or two on the way. Your style is hardcore, I likes it. Your sketches are so much more clean than mine, which I envy a lot. Oh yeah, that monkey/baboon is some tight shattywhack. Keep up the good work, and get some damn sleep
