GO FOR BROKE! / Tear Jacob's Drawings a New One
« on: Jan 23, 2012, 03:09 PM »
Trying a style for this storyline that I haven't really seen been done before. I want it to use layout more than a way to arrange panels on the page, and by doing that, I feel I need to use color in a not so realistic way.

I'm trying to use more graphic design and styled illustration techniques than realism here, but having a hard time getting it to look good.

A little back story: The plot is mostly about a group of people around 18-24 who go to clubs a lot and drive cool cars, and all the drama or encounters they have with each other. Simple basis, and I want to see where I can take it.

Here are a few color tests I did, this would be one page in the comic and I'm trying to nail down a style that I can use consistently thru the book. Even if the character/background colors aren't realistically consistent
