BIO
Years ago, a space-faring trophy hunter landed on a planet with blue soil, and huge fungal blooms that would tower above most Earth-native trees. Before he could swing the rifle off his back, a winged, orange creature fell from one such fungus, crashing into the dirt beside him; its large eyes and small horns betrayed its young age. Carefully, he scooped it up… and took it home, where he stuck it in a tiny cage and used it as an exotic guard dog, trained to kill intruders and do tricks for his guests. Until one day, after years of waiting for the right moment, she escaped and got her revenge. Enter, Efrier.
Efrier is an alien of few words – she’s sentient and certainly able to talk, but likes to wait and learn the situation before engaging. She’s also self-conscious of her stilted speech, and can get frustrated by long conversations. She is honest and straight to the point with what she does say, and if she’s not interested in you, she will simply leave or ignore you – Efrier is not rude, but just doesn’t care much for pleasantries and small talk.
If her escape is any indication, she’s strategic and good at playing the long game. She may slip out of anger though, especially when confronted with humans, whom she resents. She’s smart enough not to randomly attack them on sight, but it doesn’t take much for her to justify hurting one. On the other hand, she will happily interact with and befriend other aliens/monster-y folk.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES
> Efrier is a powerful, endurance flyer, but not very manoeuvrable. On land she is generally slow, but can run quickly for short bursts.
> Hollow horns and an inflatable throat make her capable of producing extremely loud calls, including infrasonic sounds, as long-distance communication. The latter are felt more than heard, and can cause strange effects for those too close – hallucinations, intense fear, nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, shortness of breath and/or speech impairments. Standing right next to her while she calls can burst eardrums or cause internal damage.
> Although she is colourblind, she has another form of vision up her sleeve – thermal. Her front and last pairs of eyes can see heat.
> Her dark wings can flash patterns, much like a cuttlefish. She has not learned to communicate with them properly, but when feeling strong emotions they will light up in a flurry of pale stripes or waves.

SPEECH NOTES
Her lips are not very mobile, so currently she cannot easily form sounds needing a lot of lip movement, such as “o”, so they may become “flattened”. Otherwise she will stutter with them as well as long words. E.g. “Could I have one margherita pizza” may be spoken as “Could I have wuh-n margah- margherita… pizza.” Feel free to play it up or tone it down as needed, as I understand it can break the flow of dialogue. However, keep in mind she is also a careful speaker and will specifically phrase things in ways that are easier to say (I only used the sentence above to demonstrate all her speech quirks – she would probably say “a plain pizza” instead).

ArtsandGoodies just brought up the fact that many vampires can change their shape too, so which side should they be on? In my opinion, they would still be undead because they are vampires first and the shifting is just one of their powers as opposed to their whole shtick, but it’s a good question so I’d be interested to know your opinions on this as well! Additionally, should there be a reason they can’t use this ability in the event, to make the sides clearer and spice things up a bit?

Also god I love how he's actually like.. very average or weak even in his usual form but the fact that he can switch and merge the others ones like before you can blink make him as slippery as Proteus and really bumped up his threat score haha

Had an idea for an area of Void where shapeshifters like to hang out, maybe a bar or something, so I was interested to see what kinda shifters are around and thought I'd compile a list! I'm defining shapeshifter as a character with a human/ish form and animal form. NPCs counted too! Since Werewolf Things is already, well, a thing, I'm not gonna include em here. People that turn into wolves of their own accord are all good though ;v;b

So far I got:

Thank you both for your advice! I've tossed my character into the incubator now, to be safe I scanned it at 300dpi and kept it below 1000px wide. Hopefully it'll be up to scratch ;u;
