Sometimes I just don't agree with quality>quantity expression and here's a good example why. There are two categories in scoring which deal in content of plot while there is only one that deals in technical art skill. Sage was able to give us a couple first pages that were amazing in quality, but since there was barely enough material to set up plot the other two categories suffer greatly. On the other hand HeyZoos cranked out 15 pages of a readably consistent sketchy draft which gave us plenty of material for entertainment and creativity. While I can see Sage is superior in skill the weight of material presented actually goes to HeyZoos imo. I would hope in the future both get more time so Sage can produce more story and HeyZoos can refine his work.

Zoos, if there can only be one good thing I can say about your comic is that you really know how to draw out an amazing fight! Both characters were very well portrayed in it as well and it made for a good read!
And Sageby, although you didn't get to finish your comic, your art is very admirable, just try not to overdo it next time

Greg, you've made your old man very proud. We gonna do battle at some point dude. Trust me on that. >

Fsdfsdwf I really wanted to see both sides of this comic, but I suppose that's not happening.
Sage: You left me wanting more. That's good. I think. Anyway, you showed promise but you didn't finish so I'm like all "Aww, man."
Grag: That was just plain out amazing. For seriously.

Pico is the bee's knees, but so is Viella's hair!
It's a shame that comic didn't finish, it was coming out amazingly. But Pico gets my vote for completion and some deceptively sophisticated action scenes.

Sageby - Good start, like the texture. But yeah, maybe a little too much for a week. I'd love see more, with more time allotted, of course.
HeyZoos - Balls deep in battle right away, I love it. Nice and clean, but the action did get a little hard to follow in the later pages. Excited to see another little lithe dude bounding around and kickin ass. One way or another we gotta get Pico and Sketchy to face-off.

Sageby: Ya gotta plan this shit out a bit better man, your paints are nice, but you didn't finish!
Greg: Where the fuck have you been?! Even without inks your pencils are pretty clean and your pages are ace! I usually get on other people's cases for just having a meet greet and fight comic, but if it's entertaining then I don't mind in the least. Ya do need to cut back on the number of pages next time, so that you can polish up your comic. Looks good otherwise, I'll have something more in-depth for ya come the second round.

Sageby, loving what I saw, but yeah, I wish you had more time so you could finish this =(! Maybe next time I guess! Still liked what I saw
HeyZoos, I LOVE your style, I also love your character. In fact Pico is one rad dude, and your style is wicked cool. Great stuff man! Also the thumbnail images also burn my eyes and make me happy at the same time hahaha.

Sageby, you only have two pages of actual comics here. The splash acted as a kind of establishing shot but didn't really do much to push story. I would have rather seen you put the time spent on that into pushing along other pages. Plan better. Work quicker.
Zoos, I like the way you go about tackling action. Nice work. In fact, it was so nice, I was glad it was almost pure fight. Good job for a week's worth of time. You seem really big on putting two panels on top of each other between two taller panels. Generally, the contents lead the eye enough to make me wanna look down vs continuing right, but careful with over using that kind of flow. Would've liked to have seen more variation layout wise. Otherwise, tight.

Sageby-- I've always really liked your character. Your coloring in the first two pages was really great. I'm really curious to see what you can do with more time on your hands.
HeyZoos-- Wow, I love your drawings. Even without inks, your lines are really clean-- I think some tones could have made a few of the panels more clear.

Sageby: Its hard to vote because its just not done. Being able to calculate how much one can draw in X amount of time is off course a part of being an artist but i don't have to tell you that now do i . The cover page did blow me away with its sense of massiveness and great use of colors.
Heyzoos: DAMN you did not disappoint. Great passing great art great portraying of characters. And great writing overall. Like you said some panels could have been a little clearer with inking but it didn't distract me to much.
One thing though, and this is aVERY SMALL one thing, i would love to see you try something else then just a straight battle. Its highly entertaining and great to read but it seems you already master tis. maybe it would be fun for you to challenge yourself with trying something different.

Sageby: Time management is key! You will definitely need to rethink your style when producing work on such a strict time limit. It's a shame to see your work unfinished before I even got a chance to see what your writing style is really like. I really dig the first two pages though, they're quite good.
HeyZoos: You really know how to put a fight scene together, man. Some of the visuals weren't terribly clear (like when Viella's swords were knocked away) but there was enough there to put everything together and keep flowing. Your battle banter also managed to be just the right level of cheesy to be entertaining, which I greatly appreciated.
Nice work guys, looking forward to more!

thanks for viewing and voting y'all
i wish i could have inked this, but i severely overestimated my art speed. I think if this had been a two week drawing deadline, this would have been tons better. However i'm glad i got to pencil twelve pages haha

This was AWESOME.
Sageby: It's such a shame that you didn't have enough time-- the quality and detail here is amazing! I really hope we see much more of you, even if you don't continue in the tournament.
Heyzoos: Holy. Fucking. Shit. This is awesome. I'm pleased you could finish this in time-- it was a great, entertaining read. Major kudos for delivering such a completed piece within the week. I definitely want to fight you some day.
Good luck guys! May the best electric-lady or bug-scarf guy win!

WHERE WERE YOU IN MY LIFE ? Were you the missing component ? The chosen one ? Why are your pencils still so damn entertaining to read and why are they so fucking cleaaann. You should've just fuckin blackened them more for photoshop or something cause dammmnn that thing was like one slider away from being a pretty much complete comiiiic.
Sageby I'm sorry time moves slowly in the netherlands.
