Late, but these were both so good

It seems The Heir was so impressed with Malbyte that he did in fact spare her life. the visual of their two different colored capes really drove home the idea that they were very much equals for a hot second there. Maybe Heir was even a little disappointed to have to destroy Mal's machine?

reading how both stories had such similar premises, I assumed y'all had pre-agreed or talked about what you'd be doing and gone with the machine idea.

Kat, your story was so much more classic and straightforward as a void battle. I can tell you were having a lot of fun with it, but I'm not sure What happened at the end, there. did Mal's two aspects of herself get divided? how?

anyway, wish I was powerful enough to fight either of ya's.

It seems like you two were playing with similar concepts with the building of a grand machine and of course theres the spectrum of concepts of entangled strings vs. a cutting implement.

The strength of Camel's writing is his ability to contract the complexity of Malbyte's ability in visual terms of entangled strings down to the level of Heir's simple ability to cut anything.

I appreciate the esoteric references in Katsuraky's comic. In this comic though the pacing itself obscures a lot of details in your comic. The amount of complexity you present in this story seemed like it needs more spacing via establishing shots and a higher page count. The information in the pages themselves are very compact and high resolution and it doesnt lend itself to a clear reading. There are some issues as well as establishing what the character motivations are for both characters and exactly what they're fighting about. I think this can be exemplified with the very first page of this comic, where what should be the establishing shot of this grand machine is obscured off panel. The only thing that the reader can rely on is an analytical examination of character actions.

These two stories were super fun to read and it is always a blast to see Heir to the Universe's Comics and just see how they tackle new characters in their realm of reality. It also is really neat to see how others to tackle this character. Also love the Colors and how they are used in both of these entries.

Great Job to the both of ya and I hope to see more of Malbyte and The Heir to the Universe in the near future!!!

Camel- Very cool, I dug that ending and the implications. I love how experimental you're getting with these comics- the graphical panels were really effective. (I really liked the first two panels on the final page)
Though you've now got me wondering, Will Heir ever meet his match? Maybe that's not the point of this character or his story, but I'm still curious.

Kat- Really great to see more comics from you. This story was wild and I guess in this case the heir really did meet his match. Another strong ending that really stuck with me. Art wise this was very nice, I don't usually like red highlights on grayscale but it felt appropriate here and enhanced the visuals.
I think if I could crit anything page 6 and 7 felt a bit too chaotic and cramped. I think seeing the space around these characters more would have helped up the drama and add some extra clarity.

I like how both these comics made some connections to the threads and the Heirs cape. That was neat.

Both these were fantastic as hell! I loved the expressions in Kat's and the bizarre stripped hell in Camels! I get so excited to see new heir battles and what the opponent brings or how they weave him into their stories. This is a great series of battles!!

Thanks for the fight Katsuraky! MalByte was an absolute blast to write and draw. I love how you captured the Heir's personality, especially on page 3, so imposing! Very glad to see MalByte fighting once again.

Our minds must have been sync'd on this Camel, I can't stop smiling from ear to ear. I'm enamored by your writing, it's so Frank Herbert-esque! And you've captured MB so perfectly with your dialogue :) I'm so honored to see Malbyte in the world of the Heir, the interaction of their cloaks, the kickass transformation!! What an explosive comic!! TY for this fight !
