PITA THIS WAS DELIGHTFUL

Pita: This comic is as cozy as that bed! The only major complaint is the large panel in page 1 with way too many silhouettes instead of colorful side characters, and I think you're at a point now with your quality of art that you can start looking into professional-izing other parts, notably the word balloons here, the lines are spaced a bit too much to feel finished

Orion: I liked how the story was being written, shame that it isn't finished

Pita: this was SO cute! such a nice pallet cleanser after marathoning the current DEATH tournament hajaa. and the quality is :chef's hand: and the characters are all so flavorful. I wish to stay at the leopard gecko's inn severely.

Orion: I was really feeling the story book vibe and was getting into it. kinda sad I don't get to find out what the giant was going to do! felt like I was playing Once Upon a Time, my favorite table top game, mixed with that old animated series called Hungarian Folktales. I have a good children's story book art style if you wanna collab some time! XD

Pita- charming art, simple but fun story!
I think this comic would have benefited from some more atmospheric colours and/or lighting, to really capture the warm fantasy tavern vibe. Everything felt a bit stark like they were on a stage set.

Orion- oh nooo ;_; shame you couldn't finish, this looks promising. Hopefully, you can sus out some time management that works for you because I would love to see more completed comics from you. I will say, I would take a completed comic that's made up of cleaned-up pencils, over something like this.

Pita - This was super cute T.T I love how you give the gnomes funny little ears and bulbous noses to differentiate them from humans. The mushrooms outside the inn and the fellow tending to the ducks were whimsical while also enforcing the gnomes’ size, which was great. The last page was probably my favourite because I loved the old gnome as well as the twist XD

Orion - Ngl I’m kinda disappointed... you’ve defaulted or submitted incompletes for every battle except 24 hour ones for a year plus. You seem to actually do better on stricter time limits where you don’t have a chance to procrastinate. Maybe you need someone to poke you for progress updates when you’re on a deadline? Or set smaller daily goals for how much to do? I know you can make good, complete comics Orion 😤

Both had very nice coloring and I really wish we could've seen the both sides done but I am grateful that there is something to read. You did did great and I hope to see more from you two in the near future

Pita: Gorgeous comic! Clav and Billiam are so simple and fun in this! I love that failure is met with humiliation and comfort too, like the comic doesn't end with Billiam going bankrupt trying to pay Sally back. They end up helping each other in the end, and it's adorable.

Orion: I like that it reads like a childrens picture book and less like a comic. It's really charming and this style of writing slowed the pace of the comic in a really cool way! I also like that the monologue plays with the images. For instance, you see the guy throw an apple and he says "he returned his apple." It reminds me of people relaying an event and trying to make themselves look as innocent as possible. Hope we get to see it finished soon!

Keepin it short, my side was well underway before we had to reschedule, so I only gave myself a sliver of the time to finish up to keep the fight fair.  I'm rooting for you, Orion!  Give us the gnomes!
