August Review
August has officially come to a close, and with it, so has the Mentor/Trainee Roulette! So without further ado, we present to you the monthly review for August!

For Quality, John vs Judgement Day vs Kurdis by ElectricCleric and Fluffsamasprime came in with a score of 7.63! This comic also got the top Entertainment score of the month at 7.88!

For Creativity, Play Date by Platinumartist came in with a score of 7.57!

The runner-up for both Quality and Entertainment was John vs Judgement Day vs Kurdis by User1 and Ramoonick came in with a score of 7.50 in Quality and 7.75 in Entertainment!

Rather than do a single staff pick this month, I'd like to feature the remaining Mentor/Trainee comics! This tournament had a wonderful mix of old and new artists.
John vs Judgement Day vs Kurdis by Snager and Artsandgoodies rounds out the zany three-way matchup, showcasing an impressive first foray into the realm of digital art!
Captain Lunch Box, The Cat, Mustard vs. Milly O'Nare by TRM_That Guy That Is Cool and Snowy proved to be a powerful matchup, with some truly creative uses of panel layouts and a hilarious and well-done dual storyline!
Captain Lunch Box, The Cat, Mustard vs. Milly O'Nare by Rikun and Kubo had everything a good Wrestling match needs--great action, a compelling storyline, and absolutely fantastic expressions!
Spawn Point vs. Akemi H. Iwai by Prosaic and Radji showed an impressive mastery of spot blacks while giving vibes of classic zany cartoons, complete with mad scientists and epic fights!
Spawn Point vs. Akemi H. Iwai by Energy and Desdemonical had a fantastic use of grayscale, and was an excellent example of short but sweet!
If you haven't read and/or commented on these matches already, I highly recommend doing so. Give the artists a lil love!
Again, huge congratulations to everyone involved in the Mentor/Trainee Roulette. Y'all should be proud of the work you put out, and I hope everyone learned something they can use for future comics. I can't wait to see where y'all go from here!
