Halloween, Everyone!

Hey ghouls and gals!  It's been far too long since our last news report but the ball has never stopped rolling!  Though it's Con season and we've been a little quiet, we've never stopped believin'!  We here at enterVOID have been cracking our whips and trying to churn out those beautiful comix you all love to read.  And meanwhile we've also got lots of big projects on the horizon.

Recently the first annual Wacky Races Tournament devised by Qyzex declared a winner in the form of JAZ and her entry, Merrick and his daughter!  JAZ's entry was a strong contender from beginning to end and as usual she sets a precedent for strong emotional and visual storytelling.  You should be proud of yourself; you set an example we can all learn from!  Despite the lack of competition in the last round, very strong and awesome comics were made by competitors all around and I'm sure they'll be remembered for some time to come!

While it's been a few months since the exciting first volume of our enterVOID anthology initiative, don't worry because there's a lot more coming down the pipeline.  We're continuing to strengthen the effort by releasing a second anthology series The Black Stripe.  The Black Stripe differentiates itself from the VOID anthology due to it's focus on thematic short stories rather than character centric stories much like VOID's former anthology Pulpo.  So if you haven't checked it out, there's still plenty of time before the deadline so look at the thread here and check out the cover contest here.  With this initiative enterVOID will be producing two separate anthology series on an annual basis.  So let's work together to make these books a great success!

And of course, no post during the Halloween season would be complete without mentioning our annual event the Month of the Dead (MOTD)!  Though the month is almost over, it's our yearly event where dead characters are returned to the mortal coil to do battle once again.  Luckily we've had a few great entries this month but keep it coming before the end folks!  This'll be your last chance to dust off those corpses before they return from whence they came and become unusable for battles until next year.

Otherwise we've got a few cool events started by other members trying to bring the community closer!  NothingGoingOn has a streaming movie night that may interest folks out there so check out that thread here and see if the titles perk your interest.  It's just a time to be chill, enjoy some movies with your online friends and keep on drawing.  Simultaneously, Pi has started live drawing jam sessions on livestream.  Even if you miss a scheduled session you can catch old recordings on his stream.  Check it out!  And also the chatroom (whose button you can find under Social to the right) has instituted a Critique Night every Thursday!  VOID's lifeblood is in the critiques so go and give it a whirl!

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the curtains?  Perhaps you've wondered how the approval process works here?  Well, we've got a live action dramatization performed by the real live approval committee (a good chunk of them) and me!  And as an offshoot of that, our very own delicious Pi has hosted a cooking show alongside myself.  So if you're interested, check those out here and here respectively!

Well I hope you're all decked out for Halloween and having fun!  We've still got lots more comics as well as other projects.  So keep those utensils moving and draw me more comics!  Stay safe everyone!  Peace out!
